Some societies require it when it comes to royal blood, and others think it's taboo. We were raised to think it is disgusting therefore most will. That doesn't stop it from happening, no different from America's current obsession with the age difference thing. Sure adults shouldn't be messing with prepubescent children, but at the same time a 19 year old shouldn't have his life ruined for having intercourse with his 16 year old girlfriend in some states and vice versa.

Here it is illegal and most won't do it. But if they did they wouldn't be likely to get in trouble as it would be private. I know young kids experiment when they are very young and that is normal but I don't have any attraction with my siblings. However I know family members who have had crushes on me. Like you said, cousins aren't as big, but stuff like sisters generally are.

I think the legal limit is second cousin, that's what I believe.

Are you serious? There are places that require it just because of royal bloodlines? That's pretty weird, but I guess royal families want to make sure that the royalty stays exclusive to their family instead of the "normal" families.

I don't know how I'd react if my little sister developed a crush on me. I can understand if she admires me or view me as her role model, but for her to admit her deep love for me would make me feel uncomfortable. I'm not sure if some of my cousins have a crush on me, but I doubt they would tell me if they actual did have sexual feelings for me. Did one of your sisters have a crush on you?

You might be right. As long as you're not in love with one of your immediate family members (i.e. mother, father, sister, brother), then it shouldn't be that bad.

My younger sister does have one, although she is a bit older than normal for it, I don't think it's "deep love" though. I also don't live with her.

Not living with a sibling could decrease the seriousness of the situation. If she doesn't live with you, then it's almost like you're a non-family member who can't help that your good looks attract a girl who doesn't live with you.

If you two lived together, then the situation wouldn't look good for you since you'd have a lover in the same household as you who'd "accidently" interrupt you during your private moments.

True though she is 15, which is generally a bit old, but it's not a serious crush, more like a silly kid "blushing" crush. Nothing possessive or anything like that, thank god.

I am confused about this subject...If God thinks it's wrong then it is 2 me. But putting that aside, C-ing as how humans R animals, other than the challenged children it cood produce, what's the big deal? That's one way of looking at it, but another way is too look at the communal benefit. Siblings or people who are related, when they have kids they usually have a number of problems. So, it's not really socially beneficial [Which is what many of the early laws of the bible centered, namely the 613 edicts of mosaic law.] The reason community's have morales and the reason why people are told abstain from certain acts is because they have positive and negative effects on a community. Take lying for instance, it can beneficial on a personal level however honesty is important for a functioning community. All things have pro's and cons, it just really depends on the context.

Well besides the "genetic" issues, what problems would it cause? Unless that's what you meant.

I'm mainly reffering to the genetic issue which inbreeding is notorious for.

Well Ashtar is rite, people just don't say sumthing is rong 4 no reason. The actions will obviously cause problems. I read that most children born N incest R problem free, tho. Guess, people don't want 2 take the chance.

I also read that if a family continues 2 inbreed over time as the population expands the less the chance of birth defects. But I geuss that's just common sence.

Sum people do, they like 2 keep the blood N the family "pure". The royal folks back N the olden days use 2 do it. Some people still do. Either we all came from some cave folk or we all came from Adam and Eve (who might B cave folks) either way we'R all related, rite?

Yea, that's what I'm talking about. Even today Royal families do it to keep the blood line pure, and they have since the dawn of time.

I'm gonna share a story wit y'all that I don't share often. So, Okay, I'm at a family reunion (I'm sure you can tell where this is goin'). And I see I girl I'm really in to, and I'm sayin' to myself "I wanna get to know her", if you know what I mean? So I go over to talk and so we get a good convo goin' but she is just goin' on about her awesome uncle she came there wit. To make a long story short she ends askin her uncle for some cash to go to the store wit me to go get candy for the lil ones at the reunion and I happen to see this go down. Turns out he favorite uncle is her uncle by blood who is my uncle by blood but I barely know...I felt horrible.

This just goes to show that you don't think they're disgustun' until you know that there related to you. Never again will a come at a female durin' a family reunion.

People should never tried to hook up with someone at a family reunion since it's very likely that the person is related to you.

The first question you should've asked her was "Are you related to me?" or "Are you part of this family?" so you could know that information from the start.
