I don't really care how successful it is. I just want them to make the game as close to the old one as possible, but with 4 player. I think they are using more or less the same mechanics as the snes version accept everything will be in 3d. Basically like SF4 was to the other SF's. Plus maybe they will have 4 player (which would be epic win). That's my theory anyway.

And you have to remember, this isn't just any 3d tmnt beat-em-up. This IS T.I.T.

Seriously man, if this is 4 player, this will be, without a doubt, the best remake of any old-school game EVER created. No joke. I would shit a brick if I found out this was 4-player.

That would be cool if they did it that way, it looked 3d to me but maybe I just glanced too fast.

I hope they add some stuff to make it harder, no point in doing all that for a game that can be beaten so easily, they should add extra difficulty levels, new enemies or something, or a secret mode. When I say unsuccessful I just mean bad for the most part. I guess the other ones were ok, but they weren't grand.

I will always have a place in my heart for old TiT. But all the 360 version is is a remake of the old arcade version, except 3D, and from what I understand a it has few extra levels. I kind of doubt it will be a lesser game than the original as long as it holds true to the original's mechanics.

3d versions of any 2d fighitng/beat em up game will almost always have worse controls, camera angles (if they have those they may not), and perception. TMNT haven't made great games in 3d, they've been ok (but they've been reviewed poorly, and poorly recepted). If they include the old TMNT it's a win/win, but otherwise there are roms. Trust me, the 2d TMNT games are a million times better, and I'm not just talking about TIT, I'm talking about the ones released in the late 80's early 90's. Except that first one, that was slightly decent at best. Maybe ok for its time though. They also went with the arcade concept when the SNES was better in many areas, like some of the enemies, and the technodrome level. I think it will be pretty fun though, but nothing super groundbreaking. But it may just catch people off.

Ok, when they say it's going to be 3D, they only mean it will be 3D insofar as the graphics will be on a new gen level. Think SFIV. It's a 2D field with 3D graphics. I don't see how that can make it worse.

Anyway, maybe we can save the argument for when the game actually comes out, yeah? It'll be less than 3 weeks.

Ok as long as it isn't like EX. I don't know how the collision boxes will be. That screw it up then. I though they said they were changing the boxes to make it 3d.

That's what I'm basing it off of doofus, (and the post contradicts itself btw). And I was being facetious. Pessimist? Hardly, I don't care either way. Duke would have been (could be) cool if it had come out, but I wasn't that worried about it... ever. I liked the games I had, and I haven't been a heavy gamer in a long time really. Twisted Metal (another one of my favs) is supposed to "come out" and was for a while but I just wait until I see it and I don't go by what everyone else says. If it doesn't come out I've enjoyed what I've had. I'm more of a retrogamer.

Also the same thing can be said about a Starcraft game, or a lot of games really. It's the nature of the beast, things happen.

heh. I thought you were referring to SC:Ghost originally, because that would make more sense, seeing how it was canceled as it was approaching the release date. While with Duke Nukem, never actually being canceled, and never having a release date to begin with.

I just looked at it, didn't pay much mind to what was said. People say the same thing about Battletoads here and then, but they just can't beat it.

The link I showed didn't have a review. I do however agree with the one posted to a good amount. It's not a bad game at all, it's playable, but it isn't groundbreaking or extraordinary. Take away my love for the TMNT and looking at it objectively, a game like that *is* repetitive and it should have had more options in the remake. It isn't too long though, but when games like that go fully 3d it makes the combat a bit different as well. I'd definitely enjoy playing it as a turtle lover, but if I were a casual gamer I would probably play it once or twice. There isn't anything to offer a person who is not a fan of the Turtles anything more than a rental. My gripes about the classic TMNT in time is that it was a bit too short and easy. Maybe they could have added a super hard mode or challenge mode, or had secret unlockables of the classics. There's just a certain magic in the classics for some reason when it comes to beat-em ups.

That said I'd give it about a 6.5 or 7.5, depending on how I look at it. I take a 5 as average, so that is pretty fair.
