These are the forum wide rules. I hope that everyone will oblige by them, so that no penalties need to be enforced.
Rules-
1. No Advertising- You are not permitted to make money using The Vision. You are not allowed to use the member list to obtain Instant Messenging screennames to harrass people to purchase a product from you.
2. No Illegal Activity- You are not allowed to break the law using The Vision. This can get The Vision into legal trouble. Posting links to roms is illegal, so this counts as a violation of this rule. The discussion of console mod chips and running non-certified software on consoles is prohibited. Don't discuss illegal activities either please.
3. No Double Posting or Spamming- You may not post more than once in a row in the same thread. Posting lots of times in a row reduces the quality of the board, and is a waste of the board's memory. Spamming is also not allowed, and is defined as a post that has no meaning. Also no repeat threads, this place is small, use the thread given to you.
4. No Hacking- This should go without saying, but you are not permitted to hack the board. Guessing someone else's password and succeeding counts as hacking. Members who hack will instantly be permanently banned without any warnings
5. No Discrimination- You may not insult members based on their religion, race, sex, political beliefs, or whether they are gay or straight. This is worse than flaming, because it also hurts other members of the board who fall into the catagory you insult. The Vision is a place where everyone is equal, and discrimination will NOT be tolerated! You may disagree, but respectfully.
6. No Bullying- Do not pick on other members. The worst kind of bullying is where new members are picked on. This hurts the member as well as the board.
7. No Flaming- Flaming harms the nice atmosphere of The Vision. It also causes thread's to go off topic, and most importantly, it hurts the person being flamed. The victom may defend themselves against any accusations made to them, but may not make any additional accusations to the flamer (which also counts as flaming)
No member bashing, member bashing will be taking seriously, and will resort to consequences by the staff. If you happen to have a problem with a member, consult a moderator, and he/she will deal with it the best way they can. Bashing falls under...
a. insults: namecalling or contemptous remarks with a hurtful effect.
b. intimidation: telling someone to STFU, will also not be tolerated.
c. spite threads: keep this crap out of here, if you are upset with a character losing or what not, don't start up threads like, "xxx is a loser", it will be closed and you will recieve a warning.
8. No Obscene Content- Such content does not belong on The Vision. This includes Hentai.
9. No Hot-linking- Don't hot-link images from elsewhere. If you wish to use an image, upload it to webspace you control. If you need a place to host your images, I suggest either Imageshack or PhotoBucket.
10. No Multiple Accounts- Do not register multiple accounts. We'll spot them, and ban them both.
The Consequences-
Violation of any of these rules will get you a warning. We will contact you if your behaviour is unacceptable and we hope you will post in a more thoughtful manner. Continued abuse of the rules will result in a ban at our discretion
We reserve the right to move, close or edit any thread for any reason. We endeavour to moderate our forums in the same responsible manner we ask you to post on them. Please listen to the staff. Treat it as if I were telling you the same thing.
