So me and a friend have decided to cook up a little graphic novel, this is one of my character concepts so far shaded in greyscale before coloring. I drew and inked it on paper then scanned in to color in photoshop, so I think its enough to warrant it going here. Critiques for the future? Suggestions going forward with this piece?

Character name, power type, mindset, personality?

1.No name thus far.
2. the universe isn't going to be all that powerful--some magic spells could maybe blow up a building or two--and magic itself is going to rare to come by. So he's going to be like a low meta type of character, well above human strength, speed and durability. Kinda like Dynasty Warriors level if you ever played that.
3. He's going to be a vagrant, loves to fight, drinks a lot, has some loose arrangement of morals though. He's not the main character.

What age does he look like to you? I was kinda shooting for early 30s.

I'd say late 20's, but I suppose early 30's could work.
You drew this, very good. What else do you draw?

I draw comic book characters, wild life, and trying to improve my landscape drawings. mountains or easy enough, forests are middle, cityscapes are intimidating though. Anyway, I updated the shading and lighting; And I have a preliminary color scheme; what do you think?

I think since he has the "rage" attitude, red would be a good color. The drawings are good, I think the green gives him a "sewer" or "zombie" look.

So this is pretty much the final color scheme that I could come up. I didn't want to make him pure red, as he's not going to be a real 'rager' or anything, but definitely he'll have a temper, so I wanted something with a hint of red. So I used this copper color. For storyline purposes, i kinda needed him to have a fair bit of green so I think this copper color goes with it well enough. a brighter red may not have worked as well. If you have any other suggestions though I'll be happy to try them, its easy enough to go in and try new colors.

I didn't mean completely red though, just a hint of red or a dull red. Does he have any alternate wear throughout the story?

Sure, that's just battle wear.
The characters will wear other stuff outside of battle.

K, here. tried a different approach to this one. first time i tried directly painting serious work in photoshop instead of scanning in a hand-drawing first. i kinda like how the effect turned out. looks vaguely 3D.
