Man, I prolly wont get my stick finished til after New Years. The guy I got doin the custom panel's takin a "Holiday Break." I many not get the light up buttons, it depends, I wanna get the art 1st, the buttons might make it look a lil tacky. I have to see how it works with the panel. My phuckin stick is in a pile of rubble right now!

Well it is simply taking advantage of an advantage in the hitbox. Other controllers don't allow you to move back *and* forward at the same time. I do think it sounds a bit cheesy though, but people play cheesy anyways.

Well for instance in MvsC3 it wasn't banned. You could block in both directions which gave a solid advantage. Probably due to the nature of the game being fast paced and not lending to turtling.

That's why MVC will never be as great as Street Fighter. Turtling's an important part of a COMPLETE fighter. Watering down that element takes away, at least, 1/4 of the overall strategy. I think certain games focus on certain qualities and strategies. MvC is more about rushing and crazy mixups with assists. Too much turtling can get boring too. I do feel the game is a bit more over the top and casual than straight SF or Capcom vs SNK 2 for instance. |
