It's so hard to compare old school rappers to the more modern stuff because of the delivery. I like the oldschool myself. Big Daddy Kane did the oldschool style better (rhyming about anything, and being random) Eminem was more about rapping on more serious issues, but he did silly stuff too.

Hard one to answer. I feel that old school rappers were more original though hands down.

Em. I don't think a single rapper can defeat Em in a rap battle, Em has also demonstrated excellent lyrical versatility in his time. The man can rap for 5 minutes about anything at a respectable level. That said, BDK is still a beast and I still don't think Em is the best rapper ever, despite what I just said about'im.
