that he can miraculously call forth fiery and icy projectiles from above
during his second super art meteor strike (introduced in 2I), and finally he
exhibits his dual-natured emotional side with his pulverizing third super art
in the name of warmth and love, the seraphic wing (introduced in 3S).
He's not immortal for he anticipates his eventual death, hence he wishes to
be the one responsible for ushering in the ideal society the moment the
Leader candidacy was his. In other words, though the prophecies say to wait,
he's not content with waiting once he has the power, since he is mortal and
his office term is also temporary (a Leader rules from age 22 until age 46,
24 years at max). This is why the scenario of his 3S ending is presented
as a possibility, should he decide to go back on his agreement with Yun and
Yang to hold off as originally planned and see just how people, particularly
fighters, will be able to cope with the coming imbalance of the opposite
powers meant to keep each other in check for the next two centuries or so,
according to his organization.
Though Capcom has kept Gill's and Urien's nationality unknown, the
majority of clues would lead them to be Indian. They both have a bindi
(forehead jewel) sported in particular by religious Hindu men and married
Hindu women that emphasizes and worships intellect in general. Akiman's
preliminary design for Gill was described as a "Greek Pankration-like Gandhi",
notes described in the AASF3 Fighting Bible. Also, the aura that follows
Gill's resurrection super art emanates from the body's line of chakras as
depicted in Kundalini yoga, including the tanden cited for Seth and Ryu.
Again, CJ's said nothing for their nationalities, but these three points of
observation are there for chewing.
Gill's secretary's name is Kolin. Official art indicates that they
might be infatuated with each other.
Gill is aware of Urien's plot against him. However, Gill isn't too
concerned about it. He obviously isn't intimidated by Urien.
While Urien is the one who took it further to produce Twelve and co,
Gill is likely the one that started the crisis management unit and Necro.
Gill giving Kolin that book is yet another thing inspired by Nakahira
Masahiko's Ryu Final manga. I think it was a book that detailed different
fighting styles or something, I forget. ~Sano
It might be a book on mysteries, but seems to be more about fighting styles.
Erik Ko of Studio Udon said that Capcom mentioned to him that Gill was
based on Kikaider, also confirmed in AASF3.

Gill's stages have always been scenes from antiquity. NG's might as well be
Thira (present day Santorini) which is a Greek island, but in 2I like Urien he's
in an ancient Egyptian scene. If you want Gill to stay in Greece for 3S, his
stage there might very well be Mt. Olympus, as hinted from his stage sound
file caption "GRE".

Street Fighter 3 Second Impact: Urien finally advanced to become the
Leader of the organization. He is very proud, and thinks that he is now
at the top and above his brother Gill. But then he is told about the
Sovereign, whom only the Chairman and former Leaders got to know about.
Even worse, the Sovereign is his big brother! Doh! [Urien's SF32I ending
and specially noted in AAC]
Street Fighter 3 Third Strike:
Achieving treachery, the organization's newly become president Urien. However
for him, that's the dissatisfaction most of all. For at the organization's
silhouette's top remaining as usual is Gill as the "Sovereign". Is such an
irrationality permissible in itself perhaps. "I am the one that must control!
As for my foolish older brother I shall grant despair's punishment!!"

One day, Chun-Li confronted Urien in order to rescue one of her kidnapped
kung fu students. Urien, impressed by Chun-Li's fighting ability, finally
agrees to do so. [Conjecture based off in-game storylines]
Urien's 3S ending assumes that he's finally bested Gill in battle and
inherited control of the entire Secret Society, which most likely doesn't
happen since it's through Gill's design that Urien becomes Leader to fill
the empty seat (and take over the crisis management unit that Gill had
intended to blow up as a result of Necro anyway) Gill left behind moving
up to Sovereign. Gill's 3S win quote to Urien reveals that Urien had lost
their battle in 2I despite Gill holding back, and that Gill himself swayed
the entire Organization to elect Urien as Leader. Their dialogue battle in
3S has Gill intending to fight his brother to the death this time around, so
it's highly unlikely that Urien's "3S victory ending" manifests in any way.

Gill.
Miscellaneous Facts and Notes

Family- One person having undertaken education as candidate for the
organization's Leader along with Gill. For his candidate father and
mother both of keen mind, even material with soundness he is to be of
a mere superior character. Urien's both parents also, holding Ph.D.'s
alike, particularly for his mother, she flourishes in the field of
sports dynamics being also an Olympic contestant herself. However, as
a befitting candidate for her selected children from becoming a parent
of a 6-year-old they were pulled apart, due to the organization they're
thrown into the study of how to be a good emperor. For that sake the
matter of their feeling extremely close for being capable of a human
being, together they learned the study of how to be a good emperor
being of several mutual Leader candidates.
Personality- As humanity's leader from the time of a child for that
personality having accepted the study of how to be a good emperor, surely
it's fine saying that it's thoroughly an emperor's disposition. However
during, it became the matter to transfer to Gill no more than a single

Urien has an inferiority complex to his brother Gill, and is very
jealous of Gill. Gill seems to be naturally more powerful and Gill was
chosen to be the elite and emperor, leaving Urien in the dust, until the
end of 2I of course.
He has been a potential candidate for Leader since he was 6 years old.
His Ph.D.-holding parents were as well, especially his athletic mom.
The Aegis reflector is one of the 66 secret techniques of the
Secret Society.
While his brother Gill's elements are fire and ice, Urien's elements
appear to be wind/lightning and earth, judging by how he makes iron
clanking sounds when hit and his many special moves.
Urien is made the main man in charge of the Secret Society's crisis
management unit responsible for Necro, and later offshooting into the
human body remake theory which produced Twelve and his clones.
Urien thinks that the brains the Secret Society has collected over time
are ugly and foolish because they don't do anything on their own except
possibly take up space and collect dust.
Eternal states that his true ability is on par with Gill's, hence he
was more than likely paired up with his brother during the candidate
evaluation process which eventually selected Gill for his charisma and
greater overall emotional stability.
Kanji misreading on Udon's part sorry to say, unless they were told to change
it. The English text should've said emotional rather than mental instability.
Also the original Eternal text says that Urien was brought up for the position
of leader since he was 6 while the same translated block doesn't, but that's
already in the plot guide.
His 3S stage being among the ruins from the Olmec tribe of Mexico, is likely
located in La Venta, Tabasco.
