Was it really? That's the only good thing he's been in forever. Grown Ups was okay

Edit: Googled it. Pissed off now. Strange Bedfellows was the name of the AU flick. Paul Hogan (Crocidile Dundee) was the star. I'll post a link if I could find it ( the movie ). I want to watch it now.

Storyline

A struggling widower businessman finds a new tax loophole offered in Australia to same sex couples. Needing a tax break, he cajoles his best friend, also a widower, into filing papers indicating they are a gay couple living together and assuring him that the small town (population 652) they live in will never have a clue. However, their return letter from the government pops open and the town busybody soon has it spread all over town without the two men's knowledge. Meanwhile, the letter tells the men that a tax inspector will be coming to investigate their claim. The two decide they have to learn to act gay, so they get lessons from a local hair dresser and visit a gay nightclub in Sydney.

Sounds like a ripoff to me! It's hard to find AU movies >.> I keep getting results for a 1965 movie

Edit 4: Duh. Add AU and voila. And on Youtube of all places -_-

Oh, right. Pretty good actually. I'm about half way through the other movie. Not bad. Chuck & Larry ripped it off hard though. As of now I'd say C&L is actually funnier though. I also learned in AU they call gays "puffers" which I think is equivalent to "fag"

Anyways I just finished watching it. C&L is inspired from this movie and that is a FACT. I don't care what anyone says. All the MAJOR plot points are there. Of course there is going to be some differences. But this movie had a more serious undertone I think. All in all it had some funny parts, but C&L was much funnier.

I gotta say Chuck and Larry (much to my surprise) did it better. Still a ripoff though. Maybe I'd consider using the word inspiration, but.... I can't.
