because from what i've read up on the story he never goes to Mars its all put of the memories that gets implanted into him.

People aren't as familiar with the original story, same thing with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles being dark and violent and Shredder dying early on in the comic (first issue actually).

Yeah they did that with the new TMNT cartoon being dark and alot of people did'nt like it because it was nothing like the 80's one. |

I still like the old series since i grew up with it. I did too. I love both. I think people like the old one more out of nostalgia. The new ones were more consistent, had better fight scenes, better storylines, etc. I think the new one was superior, but people had their idea of what the Turtles should be anyways. |
