From Garth Ennis the same writer who did Punisher MAX

The first story is Fury recording his life story, flashing back to 1954 French Indochina, where shit eventually builds up into the Vietnam War a year later. Fury's a cynical, hard-bitten man trucking in a gritty, After World War II and Korea, he's stuck dealing with France's fading imperial interests and dealing with glad-handing society bullshit he has zero interest in.

Just read about the Nick Fury from the 616 universe, He finds out he has a son who's a black guy who's name is Marcus Johnson. Someone manages to extract the Infinity Formula from Fury and lets his son take over who just happens for to be named Nicholas Fury, Jr.
