I got this idea from a discussion at church. Which is better, knowing all the facts or having a relationship with fellow Christians?

Hmmm...
That's almost exactly like asking, "Which is better: Knowledge or Experience?"
The answer is...there is no answer. Some may have opinions about the matter but the truth is that one without the other is just shy of useless. You can possess all the knowledge in the world about firing a gun but until you actually feel it in your hands and experience the kick you'll never be a good shot. You can experience all the greatest trials in the world but until you learn something from them you'll just be a passerby.
Knowledge and Experience are the two elements that build into Wisdom. It's by acquiring both and learning the proper application of both that you become Wise. Or so it might say in definition.

It's by acquiring both and learning the proper application of both that you become Wise. Or so it might say in definition. I agree competely, like most other big questions, the answer can't be found in simply one aspect but multiple aspects. If I go to church my whole life and can recite scriptures for you, but I don't have a relationship with other Christians or god, then what's the point. Just like if I have a relationship, but I don't bother learning anything, that's pointless to. As far as teaching something to me, I prefer to have the facts there, but when I have a realationship with that person, or they tell me something from their own life, it hits home so much more in a different way. As far as Wisdom goes, I feel that God holds Wisdom from no person. If you ask for it he'll give it to you, BUT how do we get it? By trials and tests in our lives, we are supposed to learn something from it, or else we just go through the same rollercoaster in our lives without ever understanding what is going on. People want to just "get" things, but if you never go through it in some way, you are missing a part of "getting it". Excellent post.

No, But I do believe there is a God and a Devil and that SOME scriptures in the bible are true, like the stories of Jesus.

I attempt to devote my life to God by not completly following the bible because It could be wrong but by doing good as much as possible.

Yup. I do believe that GOD is good and great and to be exepted in his graces you must be good and great as well or Good at the least.

Pretty much, if being wrong is required to be social I rather have no part in it and when it comes to a deep subject like religion details make all the difference. I'm a very open guy and I'm willing to learn from anyone. But, I steer myself towards what is right no matter how hard it is. I believe that's what it means to be a truly devout. "Many are called but few are chosen"
For many are called, but few are chosen —Matthew 22:14

So you would rather be alone completely and right, or wrong to a human degree with people who care about you and vice versa?

Honestly, I don't know if I could choose between the two.
Although it would be nice to know everything and correct everybody whenever they say something untrue, I wouldn't want to live in isolation just because I feel that other people are inferior to me and I don't need anybody as long as I have supreme knowledge.
Although it would be nice to have meaningful bonds with others and have many friends, I wouldn't want to be one of those people who follow the crowd in order to be accepted by others. It's a desperate way to make friends, but it usually works.
Psyquis52's post makes perfect sense, and he gets bonus points for being a fan of Azumanga Daioh.

Yeah, that sounds like me alright. I think love and connections with people can be a beautiful thing. Furthermore, if that's what makes one happy go for it. But personally, I'm not crazy about relationships and I'm willing to give up what makes me human to learn more.

So do you think being "right" would ultimately make your human life better?

It would get better in certain aspects, while worst in others. . .You can't have it all. I'll pick the choice that fits me the best and hopefully see it through all the way. Working out the positive and negative consequences of my choice.

I'm sorry, but I fail to see how it's got to be one way or the other.

I'm sorry, but I fail to see how it's got to be one way or the other. I think you'd want some of both, however I'd say relationship just tends to stick out with me because you can do a lot of research and not have a relationship with God. Also facts don't mean that person is "doing right", people know things are wrong and still do them.
