Does schiff have a video explaining what happens if the U.S. can't pay it's debt? Besides hyper inflation, what exactly happens when a nation goes broke? China and Japan own the most U.S. debt, So, I'm curious.

China and Japan own the most U.S. debt, So, I'm curious. The US can't pay its insane amount of money so what it does is it prints money to pay for the bills. Basically you have the federal reserve buying US bonds (IOU's) by printing money. What it does is credit a bank with money that comes out of nowhere. This is known as Quantitative Easing, but it's really inflation. This brings the cost of living up since you are debasing the dollar. They also lower interest rates to increase spending by making the returns on dollars saved less. That combined with inflation means you're losing money even when you're saving it in a bank. This hurts savers which hurts investment and business growth. It also causes crowding out which makes it harder for entrepreneurs to get money because the government is using it all for their own expenditures.

I just finished the first video. Seems like we'll go the route of hyper inflation vs defaulting. We'll become like the wiemar republic where people needed wheel burrows of money for a loaf of bread. Time to leave and fast.

I've always found it funny how America and the rest of the west try lecture other countries as if their morally superior. Meanwhile they're stealing via wealth redistribution and driving their currency into the gutter all while lecturing the rest of the world. What a bunch of arrogant scum.

Naturally, it's the whole America/government knows best. We've shown time and time again that bureaucrats are just corrupt scum. They steal from the better and give to the worse, then they just steal from everyone else via inflation while borrowing money they can't afford to pay back.

You know what's the sad part? The people who will suffer her is the poor and middle class. The same people who voted for these thief politicians. The rich will just transfer their wealth into another currency.

The rich will just transfer their wealth into another currency. It's sad because it proves the point that theft never works, ever. People who vote to steal from others eventually reap what they sow. The government just gets bigger and steals more. Peter said that he didn't want borders around Mexico because they could be used to keep us in. He's right. I wouldn't be surprised if more and more people went south. He's also moving to Puerto Rico himself. When you steal and steal the best and the brightest leave and you have the worst left behind. Survival of the fittest as always. People adapt.

I thought schiff was staying? He's leaving now? So many rich people are fleeing america, that's how you know it's over.

I think he was looking at Singapore but Puerto Rico has a 4% tax rate for people starting businesses, he said his workers are getting a double pay raise compared to California. Plus he doesn't have to pay the exit tax to lose his citizenship and he can come back to the US to see is family. He's a smart man for leaving. Very smart.

So, I guess were smart for leaving as well? Who could ever say you're dumb? I have noticed some of these "freedom fighters" trying to shame others who want to leave by saying "we should fight" or, "the other places aren't perfect they have problems too". I find these are people who don't have the means to leave themselves. They are misery loves company. It reminds me of Dark Knight Rises when the others didn't want you to climb out of the pit. People are stuck here and don't want you leaving. And it isn't about "perfection". You'll never find a place that's "perfect" but you can find a place that's much better and if you have the means I think it's your best bet.

The revolutionary guys are the worst. They keep saying all this bad shit is going to happen in america [which is true]. Hell, Alex Jones said they'll release a robot army against us [lol]. Yet, they still think they can "win" because of faith in america and all this mindless patriotism.

They say it's "patriotic" to pay high taxes. In fact America was built on escaping tyranny and high taxes and a place that is tyrannical should be left. The founders wouldn't fault us on that. Check out this fraud.

What a moron, seriously. He says it's patriotic for the rich to pay taxes, but has an accountant that gives him tax deductions. Jesus.

I never got this expat argument. Like when people come to America from whatever country they're from. Nobody says that they shouldn't have left because "no place is perfect". It only seems to be valid when we're talking about exiting the united states. Cool double standards.

Yea but who is coming over here? The people who are leaving are the smart and productive and the people who are coming are generally people who just want free stuff. Not a good trend.

Furthermore, why stay in a place that gives you no incentive to stay? I remember Marc Animal talking about this when I talked to him. If you don't like the way things are in a place, then leave. He also said too many times people make excuses to stay in a situation for whatever reason.

He also said too many times people make excuses to stay in a situation for whatever reason. I think many people are just scared of change. Even if it's change for the better. That's what separates the successful from the unsuccessful. People who are accomplished in life are willing to move to new ground and territory and get out of their comfort zones. Most are not. They wanna stay around their drinking pals and buddies instead of going above and beyond and they stay there. Seeing you do more brings discomfort in them and they don't like it.
