Yeah, like when they tank it with their bodies. No shields or absorption. Do you think Superman can?

Yeah, like when they tank it with their bodies. No shields or absorption. Do you think Superman can? I was mainly thinking about Thor. When he fought the Asgardian destroyer, he was killed by a planet busting blast. . .Actually, it was less than planet busting because the destroyer didn't open up his visor completely. I know tanks like Juggernaut can tank one, but what do you think?

I know tanks like Juggernaut can tank one, but what do you think? DBZ blasts tend to be more about destroying the core than complete obliteration. At least the ones that were designed to do that. It would be more of a core destroying planet blast. Does Thor get any "enhancements" or is he just there with no gear taking the blast?

Dbz characters can apparently widen the arc of their attack. So, they can make a planet size beam according to the guide books.

I think there is a difference between a immediate planet destroying blast and one that just destroys the core. Are the conditions that Thor has to stay conscious?

Well, the data books claim most of them can make large beams. . .but whatever.
No, Thor just has to not die.

Well what I mean is that the attack is aimed at the core, but I suppose later in the series they should be powerful enough to just outright obliterate it like Gohan vs Cell Kamehameha fight. If we're talking about a blast like that, I think an average Thor on average showings could likely survive it but he would be unconscious.

I've said the samething, but people claim they could obliterate the whole planet without hitting the core as far back as saiyain saga. What is up with DBZ fans?

Now there was someone bringing up that Frieza scene when he was just normal and did it. Can't remember if that was filler though.

Well that's because the numbers and stats went out of control anyways. It basically became even more of a fanboy war than normal. You have a lot of guessing and ass pulls as well.

I hate the guessing, but the run away power levels made stuff stupid. It's not as concise as comic books either. It feels like the series is feeding fanboys.

Now, I'm arguing a guy who thinks Rune King Thor is above Odin. Where did this "Rune King" moniker come from anyway? It's not mentioned in the comics that's for sure minus the fact he can use rune magic. People make such a big deal over rune magic, despite the fact that it's unimpressive on-panel. This is why I hate hype. This is what some guy I'm debating said about "Rune" King Thor:
"I don’t agree. RKT becomes omniscient at the end of the arc. He overcomes death and beats the people who sit above the shadow. These dudes man handle odin, and RKT was on par if not stronger than them. "
Seriously.

I think a lot of that comes from the fact that many people don't read any comics and just go by what they hear on the forum. It reminds me when people were talking about Flash Prime and all kinds of other stuff.

I don't it's because they don't read comics either. That guy I'm debating read the issue with "Rune" King Thor. Rather, they use a more inductive form of logic where the conclusions are forced to meet the premise. While you're supposed to be more disinterested in the outcome and pursue truth for truth sakes. Then there's the fact that they don't self-critique or pick apart their hobbies. When you call them out on that they use the famous "Well, everyones bias" excuse.
More and more I see you're right. Talented people [And I reluctantly place myself in that category] have no business debating morons.

Being brilliant is a curse, and yes people want to believe what they want and they'll skew facts to suit their claim. Same thing with debating people on business, sex, or anything else.

I don't consider myself brilliant. But, I always valued the truth as sacrosanct. So, I'm good at being impartial. But, I guess that attitude has set me apart from others.

I think it's about finding new truth and being honest and pragmatic. Titles and labels don't mean anything to me. I care about results.
