I was curious what would happen if we discussed some strong marvel characters in a private setting. No KMC bs with fanboys ruining discussions.

Here's one issue I've always had. When people give a character prep and simple say they would win without referencing what they've done on-panel or the context. Like how does Batman win? I've seen people use shared prep feats for proof. Like Batman w/ the justice league would count for just Batman alone. How do you think prep should work?

I've seen people use shared prep feats for proof. Like Batman w/ the justice league would count for just Batman alone. That's the notorious problem with vs debates with fanboys. The prep thing just ends up being "well he can do anything since he's Batman." What really needs to be done is they need to list the supplies and the amount of time a character has in a prep battle to remove abuse. It's already annoying enough arguing against Batman without people doing that.

Yeah, people never bring up what equipment the character can conjur with prep. They just use prep as an auto-win.

What resources he can use (computers, other members, etc.) and a time limit. I made a fanboy wars thread with Batman like that ages ago.

So, they won't ask for specifications. They'll rely on the ambiguous arrangement to stack the deck in their favor since their goal is "winning". I just care about facts, I'm disinterested on who wins. But, fanboys will try to rationalize it with "everyone is bias" nonsense.

This is most debates though. Religion, politics, money, fanboy wars. It's not about trying to gain understanding or using rationale, just "winning" by any means. Just dumb.

Yeah, Fanboys just suck.
Back to the discussion. I've always felt that cable is underrated.

I've seen people claim wolverine would stomp him. He has alot of good feats people don't know about same with Bishop.

What's silly about Wolverine vs Hulk? its happened on page plenty of times. He doesn't stand a chance in a logical match. I mean Batman faces off against people in the comics he'd never beat in a forum fight because the rules assume they're at their best and Hulk is on a different level than Wolverine. Wolverine can survive against him though, he just won't beat him.

Gorr vs Odin or King Thor.
Alot of people have been saying Gorr is way above Sky-father and above Elder God level because he killed an Elder God. I honestly don't he's that strong. For one thing, when King Thor resuscitated the Odin Force for just a moment. The attack he used blew Gorr light Years away and made him shit his pants. If he really was above Sky-Father, none of what I just said would've been possible. People rank Gorr way too high anyway. Alot of people think he's above Surtur or The ones who sit above in shadow. I've even seen a few people who say he's stronger than Galactus lol.

I think it also has to do with the fact that Gorr is the strongest Thor villain in a long time. The high ends in that arc were insane.

How many heroes in marvel can take a planet-busting blast head on? DBZ style? Yeah, like when they tank it with their bodies. No shields or absorption.
