I heard of a movie, didn't think it was that though. The animation looked more old fashioned to me I suppose. What did you think of it? Like all DBZ movies it tends to be hectic paced unlike the series where because they go by episodes they can afford to make one tough villain that keeps getting stronger. With that said, the Dragonball cosmology has gotten bigger now. So it doesn't just drag out like usual. That's good to see. Do you mean they've become more powerful overall?

It's hearsay. Some people think it will open up to a new series. Not sure if I'm interested. Maybe a move every once in a while.

Some highlights in that thread.
"Superman tanking a supernova isn't impressive because he absorbs the solar radiation"
"He only absorbs a fraction of the explosion of a Supernova, which at best is planet level destruction"
"Superman gets hurt by Batman and street level characters all the time. So, [insert Dbz character] can beat him"
"Dbz Characters train harder so they're stronger than Superman or Comic characters [Something I used to believe until I picked up a comic]"
"Frieza survived the explosion of a planet while weakened"
Meanwhile, a time traveling Superman survives the explosion of Krypton. A planet bigger than Jupiter and orbiting a red sun [Supermans weak under that radiation]. Ignored though.
And, finally:
"Super was K.O.ed destroying the Shadow moon therefore he's only moon level"
Never mind me posting pictures of him destroying a moon easily.

I hate the "training" argument. Same thing used to happen a lot in the Spider-Man vs "insert martial artist here" tread. People used to say he had "a weakness against MA's" which is bs. He held back against weaker enemies which is why they had a chance. In a forum setting, they'd lose.

People don't seem to realize that supes has fight training too. People think he's some dumb brute who can't fight.

People don't seem to realize that supes has fight training too. People think he's some dumb brute who can't fight. Well people don't understand the difference between efficiency and simply training. If you've been in tons of fights and constantly win, you have a form of skill. The fighter who has "MA training" but no experience is generally less dangerous someone who has been in countless fights and wins with no formal training. The same thing applies to Spider-Man vs some human MA. Superman is too powerful.

Post crisis has like 1000 years of MA training with Diana fighting demons. Even then, he's been in constant battles against opponents and has even fought universal threats like Sun Eater.
Superman also uses his powers more skillful. The precession he has with his Heat vision far outstrips Kamehameha. Same with it's power, it's supplied 1/8th the energy to create a Star almost as big as ours and 1/4 the energy necessary for the Big Bang.
Some tards were arguing Supes is not FTL lol.

Yea, that's another thing. People want to say that "skill" is only Martial Arts skills, they fail to understand that it takes skills to do things well. They for instance like to take Batman or some character and say they'll be much better if they took Superman's powers. Just because he has MA skills doesn't mean he'd have instant mastery.

Exactly, MA is so overrated. It's considered the only real "Skill" in combat. But, these guys have super-powers. So, you have to factor their skill in using them.

People would just say "Wolverine is more skilled than Spider-Man". Spider-Man has a ton of skills that Wolverine doesn't have. He's even an MA now, so they can't use that anymore. I'd often use the argument, "Can a trained martial artist beat up an elephant?".

lol.
Wolverine in general is a character notorious for hanging with people he has no business doing so. Just because he's "Skiled".

Older comics, his healing factor wasn't even that great. He's close to being killed before. It's only lately he's been "invincible".

Most don't watch much anime outside DBZ let alone comics. I've never met a DBZfan that's read more than 3 Superman comics.

People aren't really familiar with anime/manga outside of DBZ. Much like people are only familiar with Batman/Spider-Man/Wolverine/Superman.

Another thing I noticed is how people hype up chi beams because they can destroy planets. I had to point more than a few times that Supermans heat vision can theoretically destroy a planet too. It's arch is planetary on-panel for example [larger than any chi attack in DBZ history] and it's hotter than the Sun. A low intensity beam almsot blinded some members of the JLA. Superman also has much better precision with it than Goku with his KHH [An overrated attack by any standards]. But, I'm guessing since KHH and Chi attacks are flashier [The planet starts shaking when they use them and they create storms with other SFX]. People assume it's stronger.
