I'm curious of your thoughts on this?
Which Western Animated Shows do you find to be within the top 10 of all time! Can be from any date or time back. Doesn't have to be in any particular order either.
Let's see them!

In no order: Batman:TAS TMNT 2003 Animainiacs Regular Show Superman:TAS JLA Gargoyles Duck Tales The Simpsons Centruions Regular Show? I may need to look into that one. Centurions too. This is really hard lol. So many to choose from so I tried to limit it to one per franchise/company if that makes sense. For me. Kim Possible Spider-Man TAS Futurama Justice League TMNT 2003 Tex Avery's works Classic Disney Shorts Classic Looney Toons Shorts Simpsons Ren & Stimpy

Wait, Golden Age Toons are allowed?! You're just making it harder and harder. Yeah, Regular show is awesome. It's like Clerks meets bugs bunny.

We still have a lack of adult cartoons here in the west. I dunno when it's gonna change. You have a few, some that are very popular and others that don't last. What happened was that old stuff was more graphic in content on a kids level, but there was no adult stuff. Now the kids stuff is watered down and you have adult stuff so there's a switch. You do have some very famous shows aimed at older audiences. Simpsons, South Park, Futurama, Ren and Stimpy Adult Party, Assy McGee, Oblongs, Drawn Together, Aqua Teen, etc. The barriers are slowly being lowered in regards to all of it, so that's good.

Well, yeah. My mistake, the comedy stuff is big. But, we need adult action cartoons. Adult Swim makes tons of original comedy cartoons, but when it comes to action they still depend on importing anime. It's frustrating.

Adult Swim makes tons of original comedy cartoons, but when it comes to action they still depend on importing anime. It's frustrating. Oh you mean stuff that is action based. I think the superhero stuff like Justice League was aimed at older audiences. Not X rated mind you but still had death, heavier subject matter, and many adult references and jokes thrown in there. tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Radar/JusticeLeagueI'll tell you the craziest thing I've ever seen was season 4 in TMNT 2003. The show was already darker, much like the comic but season 4 had disembowlments, bodies putting themselves back together, etc, on a *kid's* program. Check this out. Crazy.

Man that was horrifying and disgusting. I think I threw up a bit in my mouth. They were about spot on with the comics at that point. I'm still surprised that they had that level of content in that show. It was so crazy they actually took the seasons 6 and 7 after 5 which completed the arc and they wanted them kid friendly. So that's why we have Fast Forward and BTTS.

Your taste is very similar. What was violent in that clip?....all i seen was a corpse walking around. Losing his finger and putting it back on. His jaw falling halfway off? Rotting flesh? On a television network that was intended for 8-9 year olds. They also had an episode where they shot a mutated human with a minigun and his guts came out and he reattached them. That's very intense especially for a children's program. Some of those episodes were banned.

Eh...guess it doesn't effect me unlike it did to Jack-2. You have to look at it from the perspective that it's aimed at 9-10 year old tv network. That's very intense.

Everyone is different, not everyone is going to get the same reaction. That's not really the point. I can watch anything and not really be bothered by it. I wouldn't consider everything designed for children's programming. Now personally I don't care and I think that season 4 was the best TMNT season in the series, but I wouldn't call it a children's show in that context. Not to mention the subject matter (Him dying, losing his mind, dying mother, trying to kill April). That's a subject matter more for older audiences. It was actually pretty close to the original comic. The original TMNT was extremely graphic when it first came out and was most definitely *not* for children.

I wish that spawn cartoon they were making came out. Spawn has the potential to be possibly the most awesome character ever depending on how it is handled.
