But, it's crazy how poseur filled geek fandom is. Probably because it's so easy to "acquire" knowledge through things like wikis and Respect threads. This is why I used to laugh when mgtow used to complain about Anita Sarkiesian [whatever da fuck her name is] and feminism infiltrating gaming, Geekdom and other male spaces. What's there to infiltrate? There's really nothing left. It's pointless being part of a community now imo, just enjoy your hobby. I think people were just complaining. At this point, gaming is mainstream and you will see more and more women. I just hope they don't vagify it like they do other genres.

It's mainstream. So, it's seen as a valuable target. I just find it funny all the men losing their shit about it. Most of the people who made it mainstream are just as much of a problem as the feminist targets. If it was still for kids or nerds then nobody would care.

When you gamed back then you were a nerd or a child. Nowadays it's a "guy thing" with an increasing number of females playing. I'd say the first Playstation is responsible for that. Having a large genre of games that appeal to all ages does that, plus all of the other features.

It's still like that in some places. But, not in the west and not anymore. PSX is when it started to shift, but the HD gaming era is when you feel it. Now it's all media convergence garbage ugh.

Super dumbed down controls, big graphics, big budgets (even selling millions of games can lose you money with the large costs). In the PS1 days gaming was suitable for teens and not just kids. But now I'm sure almost every male 34 and under has a gaming console or something.

The budgets are so inflated it's insane. Infact, they're so expensive that companies want to discourage rentals and IUsed games. Remember how fun the bargain bin was and how important it was for games? Remember digging for buried treasure in them? Well, now they're trying to end it. I remember what Cliff Bleszinski said:
“You cannot have game and marketing budgets this high while also having used and rental games existing. The numbers do NOT work people. The visual fidelity and feature sets we expect from games now come with sky-high costs. Assasins Creed games are made by thousands of devs."
They waste so much money on voice acting and set pieces that it's crazy. That's why PS2 was my favorite era, the games looked good and weren't as expensive to make. I like HD, but I dislike this budget inflation.

They're making games more mainstream and trying to reel in the big audience who cares about fancy graphics and less about intelligent design. Many developers have been complaining about used games and have been trying to end it. The rental market has changed too. Glad I'm on the PC. These companies need some competition from people who know how to make enjoyable and cheap games. I was playing TMNT: Out Of The Shadows, and someone was complaining that it could have had more fluff to make it $60 instead of a $15 game. I think that it's good you can make a game with tons of replay value for cheap. That's why I like PC- I can buy great games for a fraction of the price.

Well, Nintendo tried that. They tried to focus on new ways to play [motion control] as opposed to graphics. I used to be one of those idiots that bagged on them, but they're right. Westerners have a habit of gentrifying whatever industry they get into. Because they spend like crazy and drive prices way up. Look at comics for example. Someone told me it's 3.99-5.99 for a single issue. I was like "WTF"?
It's because they drive prices way up with shit like slick magazine paper and color. The Japanese still use the type of paper found in phone books and print in Black and white. Now games are going the sameway, they've gotten so damn expensive that only really big companies that get government bailouts can make them. Japanese can't afford that because they know if they go broke there will be no bailouts for example.
I mean, I like Big budget stuff too. But, we need another apporach too. They need to support the Wii U.

They need to support the Wii U. Well there should definitely be no bailouts of any company. The problem is they've been steadily increasing the costs of games because it's to appeal to a certain base. I think many of these consoles are starting to lose their edge in doing this. Nintendo had to target a different market. Consoles are becoming more and more like PC lites and there's really less of a reason to even purchase them. Developers will have to find ways to tone down their costs. Sony is a Japanese company and it's losing money too with these big games. As for comics being more expensive, yea they have a different approach with Manga in terms of their layout and style. I like both in their own way though.

I think Nintendo will figure something out, since they're the only ones trying to target a different base.

They had a good hold on it in the past, but they started to rack up costs quite a bit with the PS3 in a goal to be "innovative". PS3 is definitely nice but they might have to adjust their model.

Yeah.
But, back to what I was saying about big forums. I don't even think trolling is a good enough to convince me to go to them, I have a lot of hatred, and when I troll I tend to vent a lot of my venom. I have a lot of spite for this society and how it's fucked me over. Any excuse is enough for me to snap. Even though, I'm "better" because of self therapy. I think it would be better if I let go,

I understand that people want to goof off time to time, but you have people who sit there for years like Judge or whomever at KMC doing the same thing time and time again. I like to avoid that stupidity. I was looking at the new start up site and you have idiots there trolling again. When I leave a forum I'm done. Wasting time on it is like saying I care about it. But yea. The US is in the dark ages. I think the time is better spent saving up to leave. These morons on these sites can make you even more misanthropic after dealing with them lol.

Well, people aren't perfect. So, it's not surprising they can be stupid. But, when a country experiments with marxism, feminism, environmentalism, etc. has exit taxes, harmful chemicals in the food in order to be cost effective and actively tries to screw it's people over it's another thing. This society has actively hurt me in so many ways. I fucking hate it.

As we've seen these people are utterly incompetent and can't even run their own lives. The idea of them knowing what is best for us is laughable. The problem is you have the average moron supporting this, even as things get worse and worse right in front of them.

Or slaughter their own citizens for no good reason. It's unforgivable, I'm gone.

Or slaughter their own citizens for no good reason. It's unforgivable, I'm gone. I think you have a combination of both factors. You have a lot of incompetence and a lot of corruption. They clearly want to get elected, but many of them don't understand or believe in the free market. You have people who believe the economy grows by consumption and spending. There was a woman today Peter Schiff talking about we need to "pray for food stamps" and "God will take care of it." replace God with government and that's what she believes in, some power that will take care of her and others. Not to mention why would you pray for more vouchers taken by force. You want the productivity so you can live better, not printed paper. These people grow up in these government schools and don't know anything. Most are also corrupt. That's why they go into politics. It's no accident that they're wrong all of the time. They justify what they do by the "greater good". It's really sick.

I think it's an unproductive waste. I don't feel like I owe this country anything. I think your energy is best put towards saving up and moving to a better place. Think of your life overseas and what awaits you there.

There are always gonna be successful societies and shitholes. Sometimes they switch places. I should focus on the good and pour my energy in a place that appreciates me.

How long do you think until america becomes like Afghanistan lol. I don't know if it will become that bad (though I'm sure White Nationalists think it's getting there). I would hope after the inevitable decline that the viewpoints change and these laws get torn down. That could take 2 decades at least to get us back to our relative prime time. I don't want to wait around here that long.

I don't want to wait around here that long. So, you believe we'll make a recovery eventually? I mean countries can sit around for centuries and go up and down. If there is a recovery it will be a long way out. We already have a tremendous amount of debt passed down to the next generations and considering our current mindset, it will be quite a long time. We have the world's reserve currency right now which is pulling us along.

I love the united states for what it was and I do believe we will rise again . But, it's suicide to stay here as we go down. It may not get as bad as the Soviet Union, but it's not worth staying. I'm hesitant to give up my citizenship, but I acknowledge the dark age the west has to go through before it sobers up. Europe won't make it though.

The question is how long it will take. We've racked up more debt than any country and we have more debt than all debtor nations. That's much worse than being richer than anybody else quite a long time ago. We're worse than Europe as of right now.
