I thought I had said before (but I might have not). I like the new turtles overall. They're all different and they are aiming at making the sure more action based than the original cartoon while making it more kid friendly than the 2003 version. Some interesting plot twists. Very solid.

I've seen that people were positive overall about it from my perspective. I just had another friend ask me about the new turtles again. You should always like what you like. There are some people of course who complain about it, and some still are stuck in the original years. Which in my opinion has aged the worst despite it being "the original".

I do like the twists in the story, though I still think that 2003 edges it out, but both are great shows in their own right either way and I watch both.

I'd say the 90's and early 2000's was a great time for cartoons overall, especially hero type cartoons.

The 87 version was really cheesy after a while, especially once they lost their best writer.

Seasons 1 and 2 were really good. 3,4, and 5 showed the decay, especially season 5. The later episodes got better and took on a "dark" theme. But the 87 series had a lot of cheesy villains and a ton of errors in it too.

It's crazy that the 2003 series is already over a decade old, although it did last until 2010 or so. It had a good run.
