I think it's funny too that consumers are painting themselves as victims. Who's giving these companies the money in the first place as they roll out these unsavory business practices?

The best thing for people to do is to vote with their feet and take their money they spend on garbage like SF4 and put it towards good games like Kof, GG, Virtua Fighter, or a host of other quality games.
People will keep buying trash and complaining about it like they keep posting at bad websites and complaining about the idiots there. We have to vote with our dollar and get companies who make crappy products to improve or be kicked out of the competition.

Unfortunately, very many people. Kind of stinks for the people who do try and vote with their wallets though that these practices are becoming more and more common, eh?

There are still quality games out there that people can play. Look at Kof XIII, it doesn't get enough love despite being an amazing game. People pretend like it has so many problems because they just can't be bothered to try something new.

In certain sectors of gaming like triple A games, yes. That's why it's good to broaden your horizons and play other types of games like Indy games. I play alot of Doujin games myself. Triple A games are the summer blockbusters of video games. Fanfare for for the masses. You gotta vote with your feet like C says.

That or stick with old school games. Like I said I took a long break from gaming because I was disappointed with how it was turning out. There are a few gems in big budget gaming, but the cost of making them dictates they must cater to the LCD.

I play Triple A games from time to time. However, they aren't my main choice.

Mass Effect is actually solid along with Dead Space too. How far along are you?

Gaming is bigger now. So, it's not surprising it's more watered down.

The main triple A games I buy are 3DS games, and am looking forward to trying Rayman Legends. Also, if you guys are looking for a fun game, Expendabros is free on Steam, it's pretty awesome.

Yea playing things in order gives you a better grasp of the story. That's how I like to do things as well.
