Do you guys ever look back at the days in the past and want to do it again or wish you were back in those times and did something different? I notice as I get older many people look back on their younger days, their high school days in particular and want to do it again.
How do you feel on this? Would you go back or are you more forward thinking?

I do it alot. At least for my highschool years. What about you? Funny I just came from a high school football game at my old school. I had opened my yearbook and looked back and had some laughs thinking of those times. In high school I was in drumline, I knew everyone, the girls liked me, yet I never fit into any category or group. I just did what I wanted. I was the "individual" one who said and did what I wanted. So there were definitely good times. Especially some of the crazy stuff I did and drumline and some other parts here and there. Not to mention the girls and crushes from that time. I look up people I went to school with from time to time out of curiosity and many of them are married, have kids, and some are constantly locked up. Many turned out like I expected. These people had their best days in high school with the jocks, cheerleaders, "cool kids" and the like. Their best days are behind them and now they follow the beaten path wanting to bring it back since they peaked out in life. I looked up some of my old teachers to see what they were up to, and there were only like 3 left! It's crazy that it has been almost a decade since I graduated. If you took this year and went back to my freshman year and that did it again it would be like looking at the 80's! It was interesting walking the halls again and such and remembering some of the old times. That said they're best in the past. Lol. They're there for a reason. My brother said he'd love to go back, and I'm sure he would. He's made nothing but bad decisions so this was the peak for him. Life for me is moving on and I have a lot to do, that said I had them trying to invite me to do stuff there as well. But going there and to the game reminded me of all of the other hassles with going back. Having to sit in school again day after day and deal with it all again would be too much. Unless I could just jump back and forth in time at will, just for fun. I'd go back to some times for the hell of it then. What did you do in school?

I see where you're coming from. For alot of people, High-school is the peak of their life. After that, there life just became well crap. I never got that, to be honest I haven't reached the peak of my life. I hate high-school, back then I was really REALLY naive and for the most part a completely different person. If anything, life is just now getting better for me. So, while I'm still nostalgic, I feel my best times are yet to come. So, I look forward to the future.

It's not just the popular kids and the like who loved those days. Even people who were "nerdy" might have liked having homework instead of going to a job. They don't like their mediocre lives they have now as much as they protest to the contrary (I love my kids) etc. They live hollow lives and have to escape it lol. I hated school a lot. Not because it was cool but because of what it was and how I hate the routine. I just liked certain aspects of it and the crushes I had then gave me something to look forward to.

Some people don't go far in life. I'm trying to not fall into that trap.

Some people don't go far in life. I'm trying to not fall into that trap. That's because they do what they're told without ever thinking for themselves, they just follow the beaten path. Do you feel time flies?
