Sf is really good with costumes now. I'm impressed. They're becoming just about PC mod quality. Better than the older stuff with the weirdness.

You know, these were the kind of alts I was hoping to see more from in SFIV. True alternate costumes that changed their appearance, rather silly and outlandish costumes that don't make much sense. Ryu looks exactly like a friend of mine with that scruffy beard. Chun Li is gorgeous with her hair down, and Cammy looks sleek. A goatee is all kinds of perfect for M.Bison.
As long as we dont' have Brokeback Mountain Ken again, I think alts will be a lot better this time around.

Perhaps they went to Deviantart for inspiration, heh.

Yeah these look fantastic so far. Now it's got me wondering what they'll do for Birdie, Necalli, R.Mika, and the others. It always bothered me how much leg some of Akuma's alts showed off in IV.

It's sexualization!
Anyways some people want R. Mika to be the tag partner as an alt. I think I want to see a new uniform on her.

Fan service is normally seen as a gimmick/negative. I honestly couldn't care less if there is or isn't fan service... I only want old man Gen back Note: Pre order from steam gets you Chun. Ryu - average but nice costume. Cammy - This is my favorite one but no way I'm going to pre order from best buy just for it lol Maybe if it was Jills revelations costume.. Bison - I just don't like his character at all even though I love Danny DeVito. Chun - This is what I call fan service. Why is she wearing a dress? Maybe the best looking costume but still not as good as cammy. Now I don't like that Chun gets a dress in every game but Seth never got his suit in the 10 versions of sf4 that came out!

That would be interesting, but then they would have get someone to do her voice over and other stuff. I wouldn't mind it, but it seems like a lot of work just for an alternate costume. Riot can afford to do that with League of Legends. Capcom? Ehh...not so much.

Yeah I agree but honestly Chun (any character in sf) never looked realistic.
Danny because Bison is short and fat lol I'm not really a fan of fatty characters or villains really

Seeing Ryu's alternate costume makes me want to watch John Wick for some odd reason. Pretty cool movie if I might add. I am definitely digging both Chun Li's and Cammy's alternate. Bison's is not too bad either. I am really curious as to what Nash and ESPECIALLY R. Mika are offered. I really hope that it is something really sexy for R. Mika, giving me yet another good reason to main her. :] SFV is getting more and exciting by the minute.
If I remember correctly, Ono is supposed to be announcing a new character sometime later... very soon. Arguably a week from now. My bets are now going towards either Karin, Zangief, Alex or a completely new character altogether. In retrospect, all three of those character making it in would make sense. C-Master made this point clear earlier as well...

Chun's SFV costume is just her SF4 alternate but with different hair. But, it looks much better. Seems like SFV is learning from the mistake that was SFIV.

It's just that her proportions are so weird top to bottom. The others look fine to me. The costume itself isn't bad though. Has a DoA look to it. They said no more wrestlers so I'm not betting on Zangief, have you given up on Juri then?

Oh no! Juri is definitely not a stretch either. In fact, she's one of the possibilities that we can count on as well. I've on made an assumption about the character's that I named due to R. Mika's introduction but I can easily be wrong.

Juri... She'll retain her spider-motif. And, she is more than likely going to have a far more suggestive variation of her SFIV default (or a slight update at the very least). At the same time, I am hoping for it to be as suggestive as possible, because... there is a side of me that simply loves to see these over-sensitive "SJW" morons and "gaming journalists" cry. Something about it.
Another thing that would excite me? The move sets... because the thing about SFV is that I like the general approach to the characters' move sets, thus making them stick out a lot more.

Yea, and something more suggestive would look better. SF5 seems to be going the DoA route when it comes to fanservice while keeping the core gameplay intact. I think it's pretty cool and hopefully more companies will start the trend back to not giving a fuck.

Why even bother putting women in the games? Just make them all men. That seems to be what these SJW's/Betas/Fags want. (Yes I meant it exactly how I said it). They would say *that* is sexist too. Gaming journalism... ... Huh. Lol I just now saw this. I'm not surprised. It's basically a religion and prone to double standards and bs.

There are times when these groups seem like they are just complaining just for the sake of complaining. Just weird personal issues... and BIAS if you ask me. The kind of bias that is completely unreasonable. It' s okay for "Hot Ryu" (did... these people actually dub that shit "Hot Ryu"...? Did they...?) to walk around shirtless but it is not okay for R. Mika to showcase her assets? I like both of the designs aesthetically (And, no. I have absolutely no intention on maining Ryu. R. Mika is TOP priority, besides both Nash and Cammy but this is just my approach when it comes to my intention towards SFV, especially as far as offline tournaments are concerned). I swear these guys want every game to become something of the equivalent of Netherrealm studio as @jack-2 mentioned awhile ago. Because, even if the women did have revealing outfits, their looks generally come across as... eh... not so feminine or just ugly. (The game play of MKX is definitely not bad but the female character models still need QUITE a bit of work. Yes they do). Either they want a fucking sausage-fest and/or UFC simulator. Just imagine if any Western industry took control of SFV! I bet you any amount of money that this would have been a disaster! Capcom needs to continue doing what they are doing and not care about the Western SJW/Feminazi groups.

Capcom needs to continue doing what they are doing and not care about the Western SJW/Feminazi groups. Yea after seeing a million Ryu's he's been done to death. I love the character from playing him in SF1, but I want to try a different playstyle. Evil Ryu was a more fun version of that playstyle. I know it'll never happen but I'd take him over Ryu any day. These morons are just weird. They want women to be men and men to be women. They completely ignore common sense and bring up crap like men's dick bulging. Why would a dick bulge when they don't show vaginas anyways? These are the same people who think sex is bad and violence is good. Women don't get off looking at penises and bulges the way men look at women. Look at stuff women find attractive. Stars, romance novels, etc. They don't have penises flopping around, and stupid girl poses. That stuff appeals to gay men. These people just hate men (and indirectly criticize women) or are just gay. These idiots won't play the game anyways. Capcom is smart to not cater to them. Like Jack and I were discussing they DEFINITELY don't need to go that route. It's a big improvement over SF4 as it is. I had to use custom mods to fix the ugly female models on there. These women and losers never create or produce anything and just want to complain about what others do. They need to make their OWN SJW game and sell it to their audience, but nobody would ever play it.

Western developers don't know how to make good looking women in games. SF doesn't even have the best female characters, but it's so much better than MK. I mean look at this shit: This was back when they had man faces, but nice bodies. Now, they don't even have that.

To be honest, I'm typically not too big on fanservice, but when they can pull it off and leave the core gameplay intact then I really have no issues with it. And let's be honest, whatever fanservice SF can bring to the table will be seen as very tame in comparison to games like DOA and in some cases Blazblue and KOF( I REALLY miss Vanessa in KOF btw.)
But yeah there's always that double standard unfortunately, I'd be a fool to deny it. MKX definitely is a step up from MK2011 and especially Injustice in terms of faces, but yeah, can definitely agree that they still need work. I will give them props on finally making Mileena look good, even with her scary ass teeth.

Poor Sonya... In fact, a long while back, my girlfriend saw this... and she damn near spilt her coffee! What is that telling you? XD
LOL An SJW Game? Imagine this: Street Fighter V: SJW Edition. There was a very good reason why many smarter individuals in the FGC do not take these groups seriously and neither should the fighting game developers. ... No. I can't imagine that. Some members on Eventscrubs clearly have some personal issues with R. Mika (or any kind of fan-service in general.
Now for SFIV and SFV comparisons. Capcom has definitely come a long way. And, to think that Capcom was once on my hit list of companies to avoid buying video games from. SFxT didn't necessarily do much to help either. And, by the time SFxT2013 rolled around, the higher ups at Capcom (presumably) started to see the recurring problems within SFIV and they attempted to fix them with UFSIV which they did to some extent but... SFV got the green light, and now we have a breathe of fresh air. A lot of strange elements in both game play and even character design choices are gradually... "fazing" out.
1 frame links for example. The strangely high reversal windows on wake up. The premise of FADC (which frankly were considered to be an awkward variation of the Roman Cancel that you would see on Guilty Gear). Focus Attacks in general, because the caused a lot of funky situations in the neutral. Hard knockdown / Set-play scenarios Damage output gradually lowering universally for multiple characters over the SFIV iterations. Even I remember the crazy damage output from Vanilla SFIV (*cough* Sagat *cough* Balrog *cough* Ryu). This is coming from a KOF player...
My experience with SFIV in general is somewhat limited as I've only played in... two tournaments. That's not necessarily enough for me to complete judge the game but I do know what I said above were recurring elements that lead to the game play being awkward. SFV is... pretty much crushing SFIV right now in terms of both presentation and in game play. Smarter game play is generally far more rewarding than it was in SFIV. The general approach towards the characters (both move sets and design) in SFV are very well done for the most part. Plus, we have a new character known as Necalli which is definitely not so bad (To be honest, I am indifferent towards the character but objectively he still looks cool... if not a little bit DBZ-isk which may or may not be a bad thing. Depends on ones point of view). WE recently got R. Mika which... pretty much guarantees the fact that "I" am going to play this game. Now we have alternate costumes, announced very recently as well.
This is... like quite a few step ups from what SFIV was. This is something that players should theoretically be thrilled about in general.
