So you're getting Chun? I think that's what Steam gets. I hear that UK gets all of it. I normally don't pre order but the prices for these games don't drop quickly and I have seen the progress of it. No need to wait until next year's winter sale to save $30.

I saw that kara lightning legs months ago without even knowing it lol Think I saw Momochi doing it.
Anyone in the ps4 beta? I wanna pre order but I'm gonna wait until mid pc beta tests start to make sure they actually tried to make it good on pc. I don't really understand how bad pc ports exist tbh

The thought of R. Mika's alternate costume gets off... well the thought her, period... :] According to the WSO SFV build, damage in general has been nerfed just a tad and there might not be enough block stun on normals...

With crossplay the PC version HAS to be compatible now, another reason I like this method. The thought of R. Mika's alternate costume gets off... well the thought her, period... :] According to the WSO SFV build, damage in general has been nerfed just a tad and there might not be enough block stun on normals... That's what I'm hearing. Also about the throw range.

Yay... she's even causing me to type like an idiot (typos popping up in the next). Jokes aside... I'm reading a few things on SRK now. I know that are outlets for providing feedback... at the same time that's risky. I don't necessarily like the idea of Capcom listening to folks from... Capcom Unity for example. I need to find a actual list of changes on the WSO build. It seems like a people are not the impressed but hopefully this will be addressed on a reasonable level...

You have Mika on the mind big time don't you? Mai's gonna be angry. I think they should listen to feedback from people with a brain, which means ignoring over 90% of the comments. I'm waiting until I see more to post.

I like everything, but I would LOVE a new Virtua Fighter. By the way people are complaining that we need more muscle women in games. Just dumb. Last thing I heard about were those Pachinko machines. A new Kof would be great.

Well it also depends on the skill gap between the players. Japanese players are also more advanced than US players and therefore can win with lower tier characters. Tiers come into play when both sides are completely equal. What posers do you mean specifically? SRK posers? There are many factors of course. But, like me and you discussed before. There is definitely character bandwagon in the American scene. Remember evil ryu bandwagon? Then there's tier list before a game is out. American players do that alot. Like people who complain about esports. But, think they can make a living playing games. Or people who insist offline tournament regardless of netcodes. That type of elitism, the srk type.

But Capcom....they never did cross play before. I still see this as a 50/50 good/bad port...they are the people that couldn't make a single arcade perfect port even though they had like 10 tries. In other news they are remaking resident evil 2 (I have more fears about what they do to that game then I do sf5)
Japan has the best offline community that's why they are better.

I support the concept of cross play between PC/PS4! Also, I find it strange that people actually liked Cammy's previous looks in comparison to what we have now. In my honest opinion, Cammy looks fantastic compared to her initial appearance in SFV.

In my honest opinion, Cammy looks fantastic compared to her initial appearance in SFV. I was going to make a thread about that, or a post rather. I showed an updated look of her face and it looked better. I don't think they changed it again but it might be lighting or something. The SJW's came out and complained again like they do when anything looks good. I'll have to see another angle though. I posted this weeks ago.

Yo C-Master, when you play a 2D fighting game, what do you normally look for in terms of game play? Or, rather... what is your play style?

Yo C-Master, when you play a 2D fighting game, what do you normally look for in terms of game play? Or, rather... what is your play style? Well I like a little of everything, but preferably: 1. A game that is visually appealing all around with a fun looking roster. 2. A game that supports a variety of playstyles while trying something new or doing something old very well but in a different way. 3. A game that is very well balanced so that you don't have to worry about losing at character select screens. 4. A game that is light on gimmicks, none would be optimal. I know games nowadays have to attract the crowd, but I've always preferred keeping the bs out of the games, I know I'm in the minority here, but all of these systems and subsystems are just a roundabout way of getting fewer results in most cases. 5. A game that gives me a lot to keep busy so it's not just practice, versus, arcade, and online. I know this isn't AS important, but I think that a good lore and an all around game shows that a lot of work went into it. Honestly I just want a game without bs nowadays, I guess I'm just old. It can be 2d or 3d, but this is why I like Virtua Fighter so much. It's not as popular as the others but I know that when I'm playing my opponent it's me and my opponent and not a bunch of gimmicky bs. You?

I actually thought KoFXIII's music was a step back from the older games. I mean, it's good (way better than SF4), but it's not as good as 96 and the like. Esaka and Saiki's theme stand out the most to me.

You and I do have quite a bit in common. My approach in learning a new fighting game is by learning as much as I can about the game play mechanics. I'd have to ensure that there is a neat character selection on the said game. Play characters that would appeal to me but at the same time, I would pick a character that would "teach" me how to play along the way. (Took this approach for KOF02UM, DOA5LR and KOFXIII. DOA5LR and XIII are particular noteworthy cases after having visited more than a few offline scenes. Terry Bogard for example was a good character to learn the game with but at the same time, he is universally considered low tier. He teaches players how to take advantage of normal and to carefully utilize special moves appropriately. I would name the other characters that are beginner friendly according to Dream Cancel but that is a story for another day. On DOA5LR... I never owned a DOA title. I often just play Lei Fang, Christie, Jann Lee and Kasumi on past game. For DOA5/U/LR, Mila was the character that helped me out on quite a few aspects of the game). Over time, I gradually migrate towards other characters to gain awareness of what the opponent my do based on the opponent psychological approaches in the matches and the characters' tools. My general play style is methodical (by the books)... For SFV... I know that Ryu (chronologically) is a good character to start off with. Yes. I'm indifferent towards the character (I neither like him nor hate him. The partial reason is because of how is story line turned out in retrospect but we'll get to that much later). I figure Nash and Cammy would be a good approach. Granted, I never played Nash on any competitive basis in SFA3 but I still like the character. I would play Chun Li but I don't really have much of a clue how to approach her yet. My position on Bison is more or less the same as Ryu (though I find him hilarious a lot of the time). I may or not use him. ... Necalli... doesn't really interest me that much but I still need to do research on him. And, I KNOW I am going to play R. Mika for sure... EDIT: This will not happen in a real match but... LMAO

In terms of how I learn I tend to do a lot of research first to understand the systems and I just pick who appeals to me. Many times I go for characters who are difficult to learn like Evil Ryu, and in Kof I had a team of Saiki, Ex Iori, and K'. I eventually just gravitated out in Kof since their characters were more fun to play. Most playstyles in SF4 didn't appeal to me. I like characters with all around options if they are fun to play. Over time I might go with a specialty character like I did in Kof XIII. SF4 has characters who are TOO limited. Dhalsim/Zangief types aren't something I want to play. R. Mika has solid pokes and movement options. I like a little of everything. I played Street Fighter 1 first. I was Ryu and my brother was Ken. I picked a lot of characters but he was a core character along with Evil Ryu, Akuma, etc. Nowadays I'm tired of seeing him online and just overused so I'm not picking him first. Might play him later. Cammy is the only other one that looked somewhat fun to play. Many of the SFV characters just don't appeal but R. Mika hits the mark. That throw is godlike btw.

R. Mika's looking great. Can't believe I'm seeing comments of how we should now have old women in this game. Do these fools ever stop? Why do they need "old" woman in SFV...? Even if there was an "old" woman in SFV, would they actually play the character? I am 99.9% sure that they wouldn't. The ONLY reason why anyone "would" play a character of that nature is because they are considered top tier. Remember Tekken 6 EVO 2011? The Bob Fest? If any competent player were to play Bob, it is NOT because they think he is a "cool" character (because he really isn't). Insult to injury, I don't think there were that many American players for Tekken that year. Back on the subject of SFV. What would be the point in putting a "old" female character in a game such as this? What purpose would it serve? Because, if a game developer (of any kind of video game) is going to showcase a specific character, there has to be specific reasons why according to the nature of that series and the character would have to be really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really... REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY... Likable. And, it will NOT matter how many times I try to repeat myself... this is ALWAYS going to be an understatement. An extremely massive understatement.
I can understand the concept of originality and creativity... but there is only so far you can go with that sort of thing (Yes, SFV is prone to have a shit load of crazy things in it, but even Capcom themselves know when to draw the line on subjects being "too" crazy). Chronologically, if a game developer (especially a fighting game developer) wants their game to be successful (especially with female presentation), they would have to be very appealing. Chun, Cammy and R. Mika do that all at the same time while still fitting well into the general nature of the series. This is going to sound a bit troll-ish but hear me out. There is a cruel side of me that wants to tell these people... that if they want to play "older" women... they should consider playing Morrigan from Darkstalkers! Or, Kazumi from Tekken! Or, even Ingrid from SF - though Ingrid's origin in SF is debatable. They look hot as hell but they are still considered "old"! Heh... or, they at least aged extremely well. Feel free to LOL at these implications...

These guys are just whining about nonsense. Nobody would play an old woman. The same way movies with old women don't sell very well. Most don't want to look at them, simple as. This "diversity for the sake of diversity" is just pure nonsense. Let them play some immortal character, or just find some old woman in real life and "play" with her. I'm tired of these losers. It's that Daemos idiot at SRK. That's why I don't post at these large sites. Is that guacamole @2:39 or did they jump then air throw to end the round??? She seems super good now that I see her moving She grabbed Chun and Ryu out of the air.
