I don't think it's spiteful, business is business. But, I like when companies try to cater to communities. Not by withholding stuff like online of course. Grow online communities, but ending arcades is sus. I'm not sure if they're better off financially, but Capcom doesn't give enough straight answers. I feel they made this business decision because they're monetary centric. All business try to make a profit of course, but If I lose out because of a business decision I'mm not gonna like the business that made that decision. I may understand why they made it, but I won't like them subjectively.
I feel skillwise assuming they do online play mostly it might happen.

Well you said "throw under a bus" I took it as that it was spiteful. They are doing more of a world community and I mean the online community is a community, it's just more inclusive. There are many advantages of it if they pull it off right. The question is CAN they pull it off. I don't think it'll kill Japan though but it will be different.

Yeah, it's the inclusive communities that I worry about. I like more closed and tight knit ones. We'll see how Japan changes though.

You often have to choose one or the other. I mean I love VF and look where it's at. Tight knit community but almost dead. I think Capcom is banking on the future and people becoming one entity. If they can pull this off with great online it'll rule, if not...

Yep, it's definitely one or the other. If SF remains tight knit and arcade focused it could become irrelevant. It's interesting because SF was that way in the late 90's with CVS2 and 3S. I guess they want to be MK levels of popularity.

Also, Triple A console games are centered more around western markets since they consume more of these games than Japan does even when Japan makes them. Big budget games like Final Fantasy 15, The Phantom Pain and even the new Zelda wouldn't exist if it weren't for the western market. I feel like Japanese entertainment is going to become westernized completely.

Big budget and aesthetics that are a mix of western action games or takes input from westerners.

Big budget and aesthetics that are a mix of western action games or takes input from westerners. That's due to gaming becoming so popular, because Japanese gaming costs have gone up too, not as steadily as the FPS craze which is mostly western and relies on big graphics. Things like Mario don't require the latest big budget which is why. They listened to Japanese gamers when it came to Cammy's face. Not sure about the censorship. I think this is about money and not about westernization.

Well, it's money causing westernization. Japan isn't holding up these triple A console games, the west is.

Well, it's money causing westernization. Japan isn't holding up these triple A console games, the west is. But Japan is trying to sell the games worldwide. That's not westernization, that's making a profit. Btw other countries like a lot of this mass media as much as we do. Japan is just behind the 8 ball on making them because they're more traditional. They were ahead of the curve 2 decades ago but the market change. You adapt or die basically.

Its funny you say that because I find that tv and especially the radio aren't viewer friendly enough. Heck videos games aren't 1/4 as bad as tv when it comes to stuff that should be censored. Parents should pay attention to what their kids play and take it away if they don't approve.... I guess sjw are just preparing for the generation of kids that didn't get spanked :/

Yea I've always noticed that growing up. Stuff that was in an rated M game could be in a PG or PG-13 movie. Look at Doom back in the day. Do you think that's an R-rated movie? The only things that would be R-rated would be hardcore M rated stuff that has lots of F words, nudity, or extreme violence.
Why complain about make believe women, when real women in movies, tv, and music videos are barely dressed all of the time? Stupid to me.

That is possible though I think that's been fixed. Not sure what else they're going to do with Chun besides give her pants.

I want to believe that it is referring to the player 2 glitch. But, then there is one thing I am also afraid of... because on Chun Li's costume, you can actually see her nipples through her costume dress if you leer a little bit. There is a chance that he could be referring to that, which I hope not. If this turns out to be the case, then Capcom has lost even more respect from me. The reason why this would be is because, that aspect of Chun Li was already visible on SFIV and ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WAS DONE ABOUT IT. Nor did anyone really say anything (and then again, one also has to keep in mind that the models in SFIV were generally bad to look at. In spite of this, there were soooooo much risqué elements in SFIV than there EVER was on SFV even without its censorship, which makes Capcom's decision-making on these subject all the more baffling). I am going to assume that Ono is referring to the P2 side glitch (even if it may have already be fixed in recent builds... I don't know what else they can do to Chun Li to censor her more). EDIT: If that is what they are referring then I made a good decision on getting rid of this game and getting my money back. There is a VERY good reason why many people universally disregarded Mortal Kombat I for the SNES back in the day. Many games back then did get censored, yet there were several other versions of the game that still retained the original content. It also not as big of a deal back then as it was now. The reason why I compare something like SFV's situation to MKI for the SNES is because of how awkward it is. Every thing about that version of MKI sums up why political correctness and censorship leads to extremely weird looking situations. R. Mika's butt slap censorship is as awkward as seeing Kano's fatality or the Pit fatality (for a few examples) done on the SNES version of MKI. Look at R. Mika's current CA animation and try to tell me how much sense that is supposed to make.

I was sure they got rid of the boob glitch already, but the "nipples" in her suit were supposed to be creases the last time I heard. Unless they changed their mind on it.
The MK on the SNES is a perfect example of the dumbness of censorship and an example of fewer sales because of it. People don't need others deciding what's good for them.
Capcom's been messing up for a while now so I wouldn't put it past them.

With the Chun Li camera angle change zooming in more, do you think it was because you could see right in between her legs in some of the alternate outfits? The Chun Li change is the only one that has me scratching her leg because there's nothing that can be considered sexual about her intro or win pose. EDIT I said "scratching her leg" I meant "scratching my head" but it's funny so I left it. You don't even have to do edit. You can just edit it and it won't leave anything and I wouldn't have caught it. Perhaps they did, but it doesn't matter since you can see all of her business in this outfit anyways. Way more than Cammy and Mika.

Perhaps they did, but it doesn't matter since you can see all of her business in this outfit anyways. Way more than Cammy and Mika. Depends what I'm editing whether I include EDIT or not, I've edited tons of posts already! Oh yeah it doesn't matter but they might've thought "Hmmm I can see Chun Li's crotch, let just change the angle a bit." I can understand why they changed it because Chun Li has always been Sexy but it's never been a big part of her design or personality to be sexual. I would've preordered Street Fighter V for this costume but I don't trust Capcom anymore with the changes so I won't get this outfit I've said this time and time again but if I see more changes to SFV I'm done with it, I don't care if Juri comes out and is awesome and sexy and scary evil, I just can't support Capcom's censorship. I can't understand though because with her dress you can see everything anyways. Look at the headstomp. You can see up her butt and everything. When she turns upside down you'll see her butt and with her super you'll also see it. Chun Li is fanservice just like the rest. In the SF2 movie she had the topless shower scene with her breasts and everything, nobody from gaming had a scene like that until the original fighting game girl did it. People will defend the dress and say that R. Mika should be censored because she was "disgraceful to women". I hate double standards. Censorship is full of them.

People will defend the dress and say that R. Mika should be censored because she was "disgraceful to women". I hate double standards. Censorship is full of them. Well I can see why Capcom would change it considering the Camera Angle probably wasn't meant to show her crotch but at the same time you're right about everything outside of the People defending the dress, because the same people that complained about R. Mika and Cammy have complained about Laura, Karin and Chun Li. However people have already preordered the game for the outfits so changing the outfits might cause too much upset so Capcom will have to leave them in, especially considering the only way to get Chun Li's outfit is on the PSN store which you can't get refunds from so if you preorder from PSN you're stuck and if you get your bank to refund you then Sony will ban your PSN account. EDIT Chun Li was so cool in the SF2 movie! I love that movie! Oh my god her fight is one of the best Anime fights ever! Sexy and Badass. Her English VA sold that fight, it's some of the best screams, grunts and roars I've heard from a female Voice Actress, she sold it. But doesn't the dress already show all of her crotch and butt? I can see it with her standing up. The stuff they changed with Chun was so small and barely noticeable. I'm just surprised that she has this outfit. You think they would keep it from flapping all over the place. She has a move where she turns upside down and you can see everything. People bought the game liking how R. Mika and Cammy looked and they ruined that. Maybe they just don't want to piss off people even more. The non fans complain about all of the women. I'm talking about the pseudo "fans" that will probably play the game (maybe). They complain about Mika but have no problem with Chun Li, because they like the character more. It's all just nonsense. That dress is way more provocative than the other outfits, look at the sideboobs too.

That dress is way more provocative than the other outfits, look at the sideboobs too. Dress show's off everything but the camera isn't pointing at it, that's what I mean, it's accidental crotch and ass shots that can't be avoided without redesigning the dress or changing the physics on the dress which will just make the dress look and act dumb. Yeah 99% of the people complaining will never buy the game and those 1% that may be fans or are interested in SFV should not be catered to, they aren't big enough and if you want to do something for them don't change stuff the majority of the fans like. So dumb. You don't seem to be understanding what I'm saying. I'm not *asking* for them to take it away, my point is that it's a double standard to not censor one and censor the other. But it isn't really necessary to have her dress showing that much skin. If they're worried about that why have it? You can see way more flesh for a longer time this way than during a barely noticable outtro that people skip. It almost seems like you're agreeing with their decisions, I mean I know you're not for the censorship overall but my point is that censorship is stupid. Keep in mind Chun Li's super has a part where she kicks and you can see right up her butt. That much crotch and ass isn't accidental. Cammy's didn't directly point at hers either and they took it out. Chun Li's is way more blatant. They changed R. Mika's super and that looks way dumber. When I'm talking about people complaining I'm saying there were a ton of SJW types on Gfaqs, eventscrubs, and sites like that whining about it. Look at this page. Everybody is saying Chun Li's outfit is sexy and hot (with a few people joking about it being possibly censored). www.eventhubs.com/news/2015/nov/27/first-footage-chun-li-and-m-bisons-alt-street-fighter-5-costumes-action/No white knights in there whining about how it makes Chun Li look trashy when she has no business wearing it in a real fight (based on their arguments). They were complaining about R. Mika's outfit and she's a pro wrestler but not how impractical Chun Li's or Cammy's outfits were. They're biased because they like those characters more. That's my point. Censorship all comes down to "This is ok because it is, and it isn't because it isn't." If one character is wearing the most revealing clothes why are hers ok and the others not? Censorship is based on double standards and nonsense because it's stupid.

Nah I get you. I thought maybe I worded it poorly, but yea people are biased. All of these censorship people love extreme blood and gore, or they like looking at Mileena in MK. They're dumb. People who like censorship are always biased like that because they don't want their own stuff censored.
Don't bother with Eventscrubs. That place is for retards.
Chun could be censored more. Maybe they'll remove all of it. Here's hoping.
Those DoA5 nude mods were well done and I just installed those for kicks. One thing about the PC is that people can go over the top and give Capcom the middle finger so there's that. Lol.
Still not looking at getting it until I have seen the final product lol.

I have done music and stage mods too. I've done content mods for tons of games. The nude mods make SF4 worth turning on. I've given Cammy a larger butt, Chun Li slimmer thighs, etc. PC gaming rocks. Ryu is nude on your friends computer because he has the files downloaded. If I play you with my nude Cammy you wouldn't see anything unless you have the files.

Here's a censorship retard here:
"Hidden from downvotes incoming, but...wow are you people way too salty about Mika being censored. It doesn't affect gameplay. I just don't see the big deal."
