Just fought a Ken who just dash grabbed and every time I hit a button I was grabbed. It's annoying. You basically have to do it beforehand.

Here are SFV current sales from shoryuken:
Capcom Reports 1.4 Million Street Fighter V Copies Sold Since Launch
Our first comprehensive look at Street Fighter V’s market performance released recently in the form of Capcom’s financial report, which details sales up until March 31, 2016.
www.capcom.co.jp/ir/english/data/pdf/result/2015/full/result_2015_full_01.pdf
The company hoped for Street Fighter V to achieve 2 million individual sales by the end of this period–as you can see in this presentation
www.capcom.co.jp/ir/english/data/pdf/explanation/2015/3rd/explanation_2015_3rd_01.pdf
–but SFV fell short of that goal by more than 500,000 units. In spite of such shortcomings, the game has nevertheless been added to Capcom’s list of Platinum titles and currently sits at number 45 with 1.4 million units sold.
www.capcom.co.jp/ir/english/finance/million.html Capcom don’t seem to be particularly concerned at SFV’s failure to hit the sales target at the moment as, according to the report, “Street Fighter V (for PlayStation 4 and PC) remained a perennial favorite and maintained steady sales mainly overseas.” It has already proved more successful in its initial period of sales than some other Capcom fighting games did over their lifetime–among them Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition and Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3–and seems to be popular with the competitive community if the record-breaking registration numbers for Evolution 2016 are anything to go by.

Here are more concept art from eventhubs:
The first Canadian fighter, Horror gimmicks, and more: See some of Mika's wrestling buddies and a Seth/Zangief hybrid cyborg in this SF5 concept art
The CFN Portal has been updated to include more Street Fighter 5 concept art and character profiles. Today, we get a look at some of R. Mika's fellow female wrestlers.
Known as the Iwashi Ga Hama Japan Women's pro-wrestling division, these concepts include a variety of interesting world warriors. Included are characters such as the series' first Canadian fighter, a Horror gimmick-based wrestler, and more.
Additionally, we see the design for a Shadowloo cyborg that has the ability to scan fighters and copy their techniques. This art piece features one that has downloaded Zangief, and its appearance looks an awful lot like Seth from Street Fighter 4.
Each character's profile can be found at CFN Portal, and a quick Google translate can reveal more of their backstories, considering that you are unable to read Japanese.

I'm done with the ranked and casual grind. It's just too much and too time consuming and it feels like it has killed my skills because I've turned off my brain to grind. I'm at 48 so I don't have much more to go.
I know Capcom said they didn't intend on the multiplayer content being the primary means of exp and fm anyways for unlocks. The single player content was supposed to be the main source of that. You get to level 30 from single player stuff alone and I'm sure challenges (when they come) will do the rest of it nicely.
I can wait for a while to get the rest of my points and just go back to doing lounges for the most part. This is ridiculous otherwise lol.

Here some looks at beta logos from eventhubs:
Wonder what Street Fighter 5's logos looked like before we got the final version? Capcom gives us an inside look
The design process when it comes to video games can be an arduous process. Many things can end up on the cutting room floor, from character concepts to the way special moves work.
Something like a logo may seem simple at first glance, but even that will go through a myriad of changes before the public even gets a chance to see it.
Capcom recently revealed some of the changes that the Street Fighter 5 logo went through over the development process on the CFN portal site. As you can see, there were several rehashes of the logo, some of them being pretty experimental.

Heres the name of the mysterious guy from eventhubs:
So, it's definitely not Balrog... Mysterious character in Street Fighter 5's story mode trailer and Air Force stage is actually Guile's boss
When Street Fighter 5's story mode expansion trailer first hit, we caught a glimpse of a strange character that some believe might be Balrog. We saw this character reemerge in the background of the new Air Force Base remake stage this past month.
This morning, we learned the true identity of this character. The CFN Portal column posted a bio detailing who this character is, and thanks to the translation of our very own MajinTenshinhan, we learn that his name is Byron Tailor.
Taylor is a general in the Air Force and is actually Guile's boss, and naturally, he hates Shadaloo.
Basic info
Name: Byron Taylor
Height: 6'5" (196cm) Weight: 225lbs (102kg) Blood Type: A Birthday: September 3rd Nationality: American Likes: Work, Sports Dislikes: Shadaloo
More notes
• An American Air Force General, and Guile's boss.
• He's originally from Texas.
• He is very strict when it comes to work.
• He's an expert in Commando Sambo.
• Because of him always putting his work first, his home life is in some disarray.
• He owns a small airplane for personal use.
• He owns five bulldogs and is very much a dog lover.

Capcom confirms plans to extend Street Fighter 5's life cycle in investor relations report
Capcom recently released some information on their investor relations' website, and we see some hints on the future of Street Fighter 5.
Thus far, Capcom seems to be planning to hold true to their word as far as continuing to update Street Fighter 5 on the long term.
Street Fighter 5 falls into play when it comes to their digital content plans. They named the game specifically under IPs that they are looking to boost revenue with digital downloads.
"Strengthen full-game and additional content offerings," most likely points to the upcoming cinematic story update, a second wave of DLC characters, and possibly even single player content that has been hinted at by Ono.
For now, all we can do is wait with bated breath for details in future announcements, and enjoy the content that is already on the way.

'Some aspects of SF5 could have used more polish' says Capcom CEO Kenzo Tsujimoto, vows to increase development time of key titles
In a recent inverstors' briefing, Capcom's CEO Kenzo Tsujimoto spoke and gave some insight into Capcom's plans for the coming year, as well as the future beyond.
Speaking on Street Fighter 5's release, Kenzo Tsujimoto noted that there were areas that could have used more polish before the title's release. You can find the full quote on this below.
Kenzo Tsujimoto: For example, some aspects of Street Fighter 5 needed more polish, such as the lack of content and server issues at launch. Tsujimoto went on to talk about their plans for future projects.
Kenzo Tsujimoto: Accordingly, we feel it’s better to give a little more time to development than before, and have made slight adjustments to our portfolio.
Profits may take one or two years longer to stack up than initially expected, however we will be firmly strengthening our brands.
That being said, even looking at Capcom’s growth exclusively, we expect at the very least growth in excess of 10% to continue. The launch of Street Fighter 5 has been somewhat tumultuous, if nothing else.

Street Fighter V Reportedly Has Less Input Delay When Using Legacy Controllers
Lately, many players have expressed concern over Street Fighter V’s built-in input delay. The reported numbers currently floating around indicate that the PlayStation 4 version of the title packs as many as 8 extra frames of lag for all inputs.
thacmaster.proboards.com/thread/2110/street-fighter-announced-cross-play?page=79
posted on: May 9, 2016 at 3:07pm by WarMachineRhodey Now it seems that some players may have stumbled into a way to reduce this delay. According to a report by Japanese arcade stick and capture card enthusiast Shiryl, you can reduce input delay by using legacy controllers–even PS4 arcade sticks set to PS3 mode. While no hard testing data exists, Shiryl and their team stated that they noticed this when trying to capture footage from the game. They initially discovered this about three months ago and state that this still exists in the game’s current build.
As for why this is the case, the current theory is that, since this only works on Street Fighter V (and not other games with legacy controller support), the game actually adds extra frames of delay for some unknown reason, but that the developers forgot to apply this to legacy controllers.
That said, they noted that there is one downside to this: legacy controllers can, in rare occasions, drop a player’s inputs. While this reduction in delay does still require further testing to be verified, those who own a legacy controller and are looking for any means possible to help mitigate their input delay may want to give it a try.

I have one of those shirts. The photos make them look... dingy but they look nice in person. On another note it seems that cheaters not only get away but someone else also pays. Rage quitting can lock out the person who was cheated on. "So i just won a match and the opponent didnt rematch me and I didn't manage to hit end game in time so I got stuck on the screen with no option. Since I didn't feel like waiting I just alt f4ed and low and behold 2 hour ban, this was after a couple hours of playing and this happened to me a few times where I needed to alt f4 being stuck so dont call me a ragequitter lmao. But this is bullshit that I got banned even though the match was completely over and I even got the points..." www.reddit.com/r/StreetFighter/comments/4j4lqz/so_you_can_get_banned_for_altf4ing_after_a_match/Might be why there's no point penalty. This is very bad.

I use a g-sync monitor and a hitbox and I feel faster but still with times I felt like I should have hit someone when I pressed something which was very odd. They have a lot of work to do. I am quite busy so I know that I won't be on playing as often. Hopefully they smooth this out.

I dont know if this was discussed but capcom needs to also implement a benchmark for Pcs that is required to pass to play ranked and displays the score the system got like in sf4. I was surprised they didnt have this for sfv when sf4 had it.

I was surprised they didnt have this for sfv when sf4 had it. Yea that wouldn't hurt, but I guessed they figured people would use low-spec mode to compensate if they have a slow pc. The game is optimized oddly. It not Mkx levels of bad but it doesn't seem like it should be as demanding as it is. Much of it was improved with a driver update but still.

Got me on that small team for the netcode. From what I understand that's not uncommon in fighting games though you think they'd have larger teams before launch and smaller teams maintaining it after. Odd.

Guy and Yun's Street Fighter 5 design cards shown off by Capcom in new character profiles
The latest posts in Capcom's character gallery feature two characters that long-time (or even short-time) Street Fighter fans should be exceedingly familiar with, namely Final Fight's Guy and Street Fighter 3's Yun.
While these characters have long been a part of Street Fighter history, we've gotten some profile details for the two, as well as images featuring their current looks.
Basic info
Name: Yun Height: 173cm Weight: 62kg Blood Type: B Birthday: 9th of September Country of Origin: Hong Kong Likes: Meat buns Dislikes: Carefree people, century eggs
Profile
A youth referred to as "The White Dragon". Together with his twin brother Yang, they're typically called "The Twin Dragons".
He's always looking to win, and has a somewhat conceited personality. When he was young, his parents went missing, and he's been brought up by his grandfather while working the family business.
He's seen as the young leader of the district he's from.
Basic info
Name: Guy Height: 179cm Weight: 72kg Blood Type: O Birthday: 12th of August Country of Origin: Japanese Likes: Chadzuke with salmon powder, cold tofu, sneakers Dislikes: Latin script
Profile
A ninja who specialises in the Bushinryu discipline, he specializes in quickness and combinations of swift strikes.
He is extremely cool-headed and composed, and he speeks like an elder. He's skilled at making baked sweet potatoes.
We also have an image of his training gear. He never misses a single day of training.
... That looks chilly.

Unused Street Fighter 5 character concepts from Capcom: A French savate user, American Football and Ice Hockey fighters and even a Yeti In a recent column on Capcom's Japanese site, they've detailed a bunch of character concepts that ended up going unused in Street Fighter 5. EventHubs' very own MajinTenshinhan (hey, that's me!) has translated all of these notes on the characters, for your reading pleasure. In here, you'll find all kinds of wacky character concepts, but most importantly, a ton of female fighters who unfortunately did not end up making the cut. What a shame! Below, you'll find the translated introduction to this particular unused character column. Hello, everyone! Here's a continuation of characters who unfortunately weren't chosen for the game. In Street Fighter 5, previous characters' countries of origin and fighting styles were taken into consideration when trying to create new characters. Start right now for your look at the first character: Miss American Football A powerful woman representing America! Her powerful tackle and sexy demeanor represents her. The concept felt a bit too disconnected from fighting games, so she was unfortunately discarded. Miss Ice Hockey A Canadian character. More defensive than Miss American Football. She's red-haired, with freckles and a bit of a tomboy. Even though she had a unique female frame, the character herself felt pretty weak, so she was discarded. A "Koukakuken" User What is a Koukakuken? It's when someone trains a part of their body to such an extreme, that it becomes as hard as the shell of a crab or a lobster, and uses that as their primary weapon! Hmm... Too fantasy-ish, discarded! Yeti This was also meant as a Canadian character. The idea of having him use his HP gauge in his attacks was considered. Hmm... Too Darkstalkers, discarded! In our memos, there's a note saying "A beautiful Zangief" in regards to him. South American Assassin This characters was conceptualized when we were trying to figure out Necalli. It's a pretty smart look, and he looks cool, but it didn't quite fit what we were looking for. "Wild, agressive, mystical" were our keywords when developing Necalli, so unfortunately, discarded! Asuka An Aikido practicioner, fighting in an old manner. Since she's a woman, it felt appropriate to apply a fighting style where you use your opponent's power against them. However, we had too many Japanese characters already, so she was discarded. I'd like to bring her out sometime, though... Elizabeth A French Savate user. She covers her weak spots with armor. She was conceptualized as a rich antique dealer. There are too many rich people in Street Fighter! Discarded. I like both her concept and her design, though. Source: eventhubs

Street Fighter 5 developers almost made this Zombie costume series, and it still may happen We're all still pretty excited to see the rest of the Street Fighter 5 DLC characters drop, and we also still haven't forgotten about the Cinematic Story Mode that's coming next month, but regardless of major new content on the horizon, we're always hype for new costumes. Capcom Fighters Network Portal recently disclosed some information on some scrapped zombie costumes for Street Fighter 5. The term "scrapped" may be somewhat inaccurate however, as developer commentary makes it sound like there's still quite a bit of potential we'll see these come to fruition. "These aren't necessarily entirely discarded, so you might actually see them in the game at some point... Even though we ended up dropping these, if the reception is good, we might end up reviving them after all (as zombies, of course)." Dhalsim Even though he's a zombie, his skull decoration is still in perfect condition. Too scary. His stretchy punches just might cause his limbs to fall off... That's scary! It makes me hide my head in my arms in agonizing terror. Zangief He's huge. If this type of Zangief came at you with a Siberian Express, it kind of changes the whole genre of the game. In that sense, this is more than just an alternate costume. M. Bison Even M. Bison became a zombie! Does that mean all of us Shadaloo soldiers are also zombies, now?! That feels kind of like a movie plot. "The undying army of Shadaloo", or something. Cammy The color of her skin is intense. When you become a zombie, your body changes color, right? Maybe it's because of your blood circulation becoming worse. Well, even though she's a zombie, she's still pretty cute, huh? Chun-Li She's still totally Chun-Li. Stretching her hand forward, she goes "Give me that Strawberry crêpe, please". There's no mistaking it. Strawberry sauce might still be red, but a zombie's blood can't be.

Maki and Yang's potential Street Fighter 5 designs shown as character profiles
Now, I don't know about you guys, but Maki is easily my favorite female character in the Street Fighter series. Even though it's been made clear that all characters are getting profiles like this, and her inclusion amongst them doesn't mean anything, it still makes a slight glimmer of hope shine in this poor young man's heart.
Moving on to the actual subject of them, you'll be able to get a quick glimpse at this Final Fight veteran and the previously shown Yun's twin brother, Yang.
Basic info
Name: Yang Height: 173cm Weight: 62kg Blood Type: B Birthday: 9th of September Country of Origin: Hong Kong Likes: Movie appreciation, cats Dislikes: Impatient people, stinky tofu
Profile
A youth referred to as "The Blue Dragon". Contrary to his reckless brother, his personality is very calm and composed.
He relies on his insight, finding openings in his opponent's defenses and showers them with hits too quick for the eye to even capture.
To see if his techniques are good enough to rely on out in the real world, he sets out on travels with his brother to prove himself.
Basic info
Name: Maki Genryuusai Height: 169cm Weight: 52kg Blood Type: B Birthday: 28th of August Country of Origin: Japan Likes: Tapioca, fighting Dislikes: Boring things, being treated differently because she's a woman
Profile
She was born into a Bushinryu family. Her older sister, Rena, is Guy's fiancée.
She's been trained in Bushinryu Ninjutsu by the 38th master of the clan, Zeku.
Her specialty weapon which she uses in battle is her Tonfa. During her school years, she was the leader of a biker gang.
She really hates boring things.
