While I hate health balancing and it wasn't needed. He got nothing in return. He was overrated the entire time before the game came out from fanboys and Daigo picking him. Now he's worse off. They could have given him a 6f cr mk or something. That was dumb. He was Mid tier last game and was virtually unchanged and was seen as super top tier. What changes does he have now that even matter compared to other characters like Viper who wasn't touched and Juri who got tons of buffs. Poison got nerfed too. Capcom just does random stuff and listens to the fanboys with no justification. I like Kof's approach and that game's more balanced.

The one thing I'll never get is why Ryu gets something like jump M.P xx air tatsu but not E.Ryu.
When in the hell did Ryu become the stylish one?
I'm still hoping that they'll give him something like F+MK putting an airbourne opponent into a juggle state so that you can cancel into HK tatsu and corner carry them.
F+MK xx ex tatsu to Ultra in the corner would also be pretty stylish.
As for the actual nerf? It doesn't bother me. He's usually been as low (or lower) than Gouki, so seeing him at 950 was kinda nuts.
Did they fix his broken LP?

Evil Ryu got no changes and a health nerf making him the least changed character. Health balancing is dumb but people saying he should have 900 because he's Evil Ryu isn't really a good philosophy since better tools would fit the character anyways. I think people just saw the 950 health and jumped the shark. Health is really the least important thing though. I'm glad they fixed the hurtboxes though. That was dumb having characters with weird hurtboxes. |

Well, if his jab is still busted, then that's stupid as all hell. I'll have to test that but I heard it was better. Capcom just does Capcom stuff. What else can I say. |
