Greetings.
I am Great Dark Hero. A KOF player who generally enjoys playing fighting games. Aside from fighting games, I am also a Megaman fan (Megaman X is the very game I got into playing all sorts of other video games in the first place). In many cases, there is also joy in playing classical games such as Crash Bandicoot Warped, Pokémon Yellow or Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Quest. Something along those lines. Very good games indeed. I spent most of my life Germany, though I was initially born in Fort Knox, Kentucky. After a few years in Germany, my family and I moved back to Fort Knox... then to Oklahoma and then back to Germany again as of 2001. By the year 2000, that's when I really started getting into fighting games, mainly playing a lot of CVS1, SFA2 and KOF96 in Oklahoma. One of my most favorite characters in CVS1 was Mai (that was actually the VERY first time I saw the character, not realizing what game she was actually from at the time and the fact that I never started paying attention to fighting games until that point in Oklahoma). I had many other favorites over time as well, like Geese, Kyo, Terry, Ryu, Sagat, Vice, etc. Then I migrated towards other fighting games overtime. By the time I got to Germany, I got into Smash Bros. Melee, TTT1 and Tekken 4 (Tekken series in general thanks to a few old friends that I still communicate with). The first tournament I ever went to was in Lakenheath, England for CVS2 (K Groove Kyo/Mai/Geese), very shortly after a school soccer game, taking a trip all the way from Wiesbaden, Germany. Then I gradually moved on to playing many other fighting games, eventually leaning towards KOF overtime while also investing time in others. Started getting more involved with small time local tournaments mostly related to SFA3 and Tekken 5 (DR later on). Played KOF98 and KOF00 during lunch breaks or after classes throughout most of my high school years. I eventually got a job and a Bachelors in human resource management. I am trying to complete a Masters degree in relation to the same subject. Missed out on Tekken 6 for the most part and had also played SSFIV:AE2012 for a very limited time, though I stopped as soon as KOFXIII came out and then also got a hold of both TTT2 and finally DOA5U. I had recently moved to Virginia and I am in the process of getting a hold of one or two of the next gen consoles while also looking for a fighting game scene.

Ah so you were a big fan of CvS1? I loved that game and had a lot of fun with it. CvS2 improved upon it but the first one had a certain charm in it. How did you like Smash? I'd say CvS2 is probably my favorite fighter though I like many of them. I used to play it and SFA3 a lot back in the day. So you didn't graduate too long ago eh? How did you like TTT2? I'm ready for DoA to come on PC so I can play that. Need some 3d fighters and I'm done with consoles myself heh. Great intro though, and sweet avatar!

Oh yeah, it's really nice to meet you guys here. Both of the CVS games hold a special place in my heart. I think of Smash is the perfect game for both the casual audience and the more competitive audience. A game such as... Melee has everything they would want (In retrospect). I played the original Smash a lot with my buddies back in 4th grade. Shortly after getting to Germany, I got a hold of Melee and used to play it quite a bit after getting home from school. Much later on, by the time I got to high school, I stuck around with Dr. Mario, Fox and Pikachu. As for Brawl, I still mostly stuck with Pikachu, then branched out a little towards Snake, Pokémon Trainer (Red), Peach and Link. Last, there is Smash 4. I do not own the game but I played it quite a few times. It is amazing and a lot better than I thought. As soon as I do get a hold of a next gen console, I will see what I can really do later on. To speak about TTT2, I gotten used to the general game system as it was clearly based on the Tekken 6 engine. I managed to enter quite a few tournaments in Germany. The characters that I "could" play for sure were both Heihachi and Jaycee (Julia) as they were the most recurring characters for me as of Tekken 5DR. I barely got a chance to play Tekken 6 but by the time I started doing so, TTT2 was well on its way. For the first couple of weeks, I kept sticking with "Tekken 5 DR logic" still resorting to DR combos and such (I was not used to the Bound and Tag Assault system yet). Now everything is okay, with all things considered. Narrowed my list of characters to utilize during events or casuals for TTT2, mainly things like the ones listed in my signature, plus Bruce, Jun, Xiaoyu and Kazuya. DOA... I took a glance at those BnB Combo videos based around both Raidou and Honoka (I did not watch it completely - I don't like to watch videos on new characters and prefer to just wait until I get my hands on them personally for the sake of surprise and new game play experience). I am quite motivated to get a hold of DOA5LR now.

Yea I liked a lot of characters with CvS. I wish that game was re-released with online, one can dream... So you played Smash in elementary? Were you class of 08 or so? The first Smash has a special place in my heart, I always loved Kirby. I was familiar with Melee, didn't play it as much because I didn't own a Gamecube, but my friends are mega fanboys of it and I always heard about how great it was. Kirby wasn't as good in that game, but I messed around with Bowser for fun although he wasn't great either. I didn't play Brawl outside of like one time at my cousins. Messed around with Kirby and Meta Knight and I could already tell that Snake was strong. I played Tekken way back when in the T2 days. I see many people who are more fans of the old Tekken, that happens with any game though. I've played some DoA. I had DoA5 on PS3 but I didn't play my console and just got rid of everything lol. I'm getting it on PC and I'm very glad so many great fighters and other games are finally on here because I have everything on one system. I just want a Virtua Fighter to come on here and I'll be set.
