I believe they got this wrong. SF characters just tend to be above MK characters overall and this is no exception here, not sure how Scorpion tanked the fullpower hadoken. Major no limits fallacy.

MK is like peak human but with fireballs. SF is full on Meta-humans, Ryu can dodge bullets for example. He should wreck Scorpion.

Yea outside of "gods" who aren't that impressive comparatively, MK is more down to earth. Scorpion was beaten by Johnny Cage, but MK fanboys like to rely on no limit fallacies and "they're gods!" arguments.

They have some descent feats like MK1 Raiden hosting a tournament composed only of Gods that eventually destroyed the Earth and what not. But, overall they're weak. Relics like Kamidogu would be a threat, but the average fighter is not on SF level.

Many of those feats aren't even canon, many fighters have multiple endings so it can be tricky. Fanboys love to abuse this.

Yeah, seriously. There are endings where Liu Kang beats Raiden FFS lol. Unlike SF, most of the endings in MK serve no other purpose but entertainment.

Bias knows no bounds. Deathbattle generally does a solid job, but there are some I just shake my head at.

For me, Deathbattle is my new versus. There analysis is generally really good and so are their calcs. They do occasionally mess up in some versus, but overall I trust them. It's been a while since I've enjoyed versus and Deathbattle has rekindled my interest in it. No more dumb fanboys.

They are pretty solid though. At least they try to explain and rely less on emotion, though it does seem like they have favorites too.

Yeah, there explanations seem to make sense and are much more thorough than the average versus moron. The Ryu Vs Scorpion made a mistake in that Raging Demon should have killed Scorpion. Since it can destroy your soul. I think it was an honest mistake, rather than bias. The worst versus match they had was Ryu Hayabusa Vs Strider Hiryu.

What I like is they get the ball rolling. They did Goku Vs Superman and then moved on. If fanboys want to continue debating it then that's there business. But, smart people can move on and unlike the other Goku Vs Superman debates like the one Wizard did back in the day. This one actually has demonstrable proof. Not that proof will stop wankers.

They also neglected the tremendous physical difference between Ryu and Scorpion much like they did with Bison vs Shao Kahn. The former characters in those matches are just way too powerful. What the hell did Scorpion ever do besides get killed by Elder Sub and then beaten up by Moloch and Drahmin IN THE NETHERREALM!

People just go for the "badass" fanboy characters in most cases.
