More info: www.eventhubs.com/news/2015/jun/13/smash-brothers-mega-roundup-new-stages-roy-and-ryu-details-and-much-more/This morning, Ryu and Roy were both revealed through the next patch to Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, causing a firestorm of excitement. One person, however, has been trudging through the new data in this patch to bring to light all that it offers, taking Twitter by storm.
This new data includes new stages, mii costumes, images of Roy and Ryu, and even their alternate colors.
Hit the jump to check out this overwhelming amount of information. New stages
The first piece of information is about two new stages, besides the Miiverse stage. Smash Wii U mega round up for Ryu and Roy patch image #1
This is Ryu's stage. Specifically, a mixture of his traditional rooftop Street Fighter 2 stage (in the foreground), and the castle that is his Third Strike stage in the background. This stage also brings with it brand new music, which will be covered later in the story. It has a walk off to the right, and some new platforms on the left. To anyone who's played Melee or Smash 64, this stage is all too familiar. Dream Land 64 is apparently making a return, in much the same way as it was before, though undoubtedly with new music and a bit more color. Mii Costumes
The next set of information is about some new Mii Costumes, specifically three for Mii Brawler, and one for Mii Swordfighter. Smash Wii U mega round up for Ryu and Roy patch image #3
This, in my opinion, is the most interesting tidbit of information we've received. These Mii costumes, for Mii Brawler, are of Heihachi Mishima from Tekken, and Jacky and Akira from Virtua Fighter. The Akira outfit in particular goes for the visual appeal of the earlier Virtua Fighter games. Smash Wii U mega round up for Ryu and Roy patch image #4
And if it isn't everyone's favorite maverick hunter. This outfit is specifically for Mii Swordfighter, based on Zero from the Megaman series of games. Alternate colors for Ryu and Roy, and Ryu's special moves. Smash Wii U mega round up for Ryu and Roy patch image #5
Also collected as an image are Ryu and Roy's alternate colors, with Ryu's ranging from traditional SF2 colors, to a couple of brand new duds. Smash Wii U mega round up for Ryu and Roy patch image #6

This set of images shows off Ryu's B button (special) moves in Smash 4. Specifically, his down B which is a focus attack, his regular B being a hadouken, his side B being tatsumaki, and his up B being his shoryuken. The focus attack acts like the actual focus attack in Street Fighter 4, absorbing hits with armor during the charge animation. All Star/Classic clear screens, and trophy images. These photos are shown once clearing All Star mode, and Classic mode. As far as imagery from Smash is concerned, I don't think anything tops Yoshi taking out Ryu with the raging demon. These images are the trophies obtainable in game. Besides showing us a basic and alternate model of both Roy and Ryu, they also show us their final smashes. Roy seems to be getting a brand new final smash, not to be shared with Lucina and Marth, that hits all around him. Ryu's final smash is the uppercut we all know and love, the Shin Shoryuken. Ryu's theme, Ken's theme, and Ryu's victory jingle.
These, as stated above, are Ryu's theme and Ken's theme, freshly remixed for Smash 4. They will play on the new stage for Ryu, and also shown is Ryu's new win screen jingle, inspired by the interlude jingle from Street Fighter 2.

This was quite a surprise to me, when my son told me about it I just knew it was a hoax! Ryu is kicking nintendo booty and I can't stop playing with him! One of the cooolest additions to the smash brothers roster ever! What other characters do you think would fit from other fighting games? How about a comic book character?

Do you use Ryu's normal move commands for maximum power.

Of course! The difference in damage dealt is significant and there's something about pulling off capcom moves in smash brothers that just feels good! What comic character would you pick if you could pick one dc one marvel and one manga?
