I've told this story a few times now, and every time I do, it doesn't get any less ridiculous...
As many of you know, Catalyst and I were on the scene at E3 this year getting as much hands-on time with Street Fighter 5 as we possibly could. On day two of the event at about mid-day, I found myself sitting down at one of E3's designated relaxation areas to take a breather and check the Twitter-sphere to see what everyone was discussing at the time.
Among the various gaming announcement tweets and scattered Street Fighter 5 impressions from pros, I kept seeing tweets about famed hip-hop artist Kanye West popping up. According to social media, Yeezy was, in fact, in the building.
Considering that all of this was virtually word of mouth (as there was no proof), and the fact that I'm not particularly a fan of Kanye, I didn't really pay it any mind. I went on with my day, walking around to check out the different booths E3 had to offer, such as the Fallout 4 area (to which there was no playable demo).
After a while, I found myself back at the Capcom booth. I stood in line, awaiting my next match in Street Fighter 5, and then it happened...

Bam! Kanye West randomly appeared like a wild legendary Pokémon in the grass. In a state of disbelief, I frantically fumbled for my Master Bal--err, phone to snap a quick photo. Granted, the photo looks a lot less blurry on my phone screen.
As you can see, I managed to capture the rare sight on camera. A second after the picture was saved, what I can only assume was Kanye's body guard shined a bright light on me in an attempt to ruin the photo, but to no avail.
Kanye stood at a SF5 cab opposite of me. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to see which character he was playing. I did, however, see several other tweets and photos of Kanye playing Street Fighter 5 at E3, further confirming my sighting.
Now, you may be wondering why this occurrence sparked any excitement in me and/or why I bothered to take a picture of ol' Kanye despite my aforementioned lack of interest in his music. Truth be told, Kanye's antics often times make him the butt of the joke between my friends and I, so the sheer randomness of seeing the artist in person, and at E3 no less, was enough to warrant an immediate text to a close friend of mine, prompting her with an appropriate, "You are not even going to believe this..."
West sightings aside, I will say one thing: Capcom really did have the best booth at E3.
