But these fandoms are all about a sense of belonging, people can't just like something without shoving everyone else into it. It's a sense of belonging.

Apple and versus should be there too. Imo, it's just people going too far. You can like any of those things on the list, but if liking it means you become a self righteous f*g literally everywhere you go then we have a problem. Alot of these fads are just massive bandwagons, you don't have to think to be a part of them.

Versus are just a bunch of fanboy battles.

But yea, people need to understand the simple fact that liking something doesn't make it better. If they dropped the mob mentality we'd be way better off.

... Yes. People DO actually have these kind of conversations (and people do tend to type exactly like that... for some reason). I just had to remind myself of how weird some of these "fanbases" get.

I was looking up different smartphone stuff and people had different fanbases there too. Back and forth... it's crazy.

It's why I stay away from fandoms. I never got the draw or at least I no longer get why hanging out with people who like the same stuff as you is fun. I mean, I understand that hanging out with like minded people can be enjoyable. But, speaking from experience I find fandoms to do more harm than good.

It's the whole group think mentality that more is better. People are scared to think for themselves. It'seems quite sad really.
