The comment section is just full of dumbasses. They want people to get roughly an 80% pay increase for doing nothing. They contributed nothing extra and just got a huge pay increase. What motivation does someone have to increase their skills when they get paid more for doing nothing?

These people are stupid. Why would you have a kid and work flipping burgers? It's insanity. They're just going to put people out of work and increase costs and they don't even realize it. I hope these dummies are happy. These jobs will also be replaced by robots.

Just look at at Samoa and Puerto Rico for what a high minimum wage does. You can't force people to just overpay for labor without severe consequences.

What got me is a family member tried to say "Well you don't earn $7.25 an hour". You're damn right I don't. I'm the business owner, I take the risk an work the hardest. If I want more I get it. I don't sit on my ass demanding more money. Not to mention this person is the same cheapskate who goes out of their way to get free stuff whenever possible.
