Well Wolverine's can beat uo Bears but that is mainly do to its smaller size making it easier to get on top of the bear while staying out of reach.
The Wolf on the other hand is quick enough to both overpower and not get out manuevered
So the Wolf should win.

That is a good point, a Wolverine is still very ferocious, but a Wolf is very cunning, with some crazy bite pressure.

Wolverine are not only ferocious but extremely strong for there size. If they were the size of a grizzly bear they would be the strongest mammal on the planet. They are also extremely skilled fighters and are very agile and fast. A wolf going to have a hard time over powering a creature who can lift more then 3 times it own body weight and does not fear the wolf at all.

This is a tough battle. A Wolverine can run a Grizzly off sometimes. A pack of Wolves can kill a Grizzly. It's hard to determine what a single Wolf could do since they run in packs. A Wolverine would probably have the advantage since it's a loner by nature.

True, but Wolves have the tactical advantage. I do admit the Wolverine is tougher for it's little size.

Deabateable. Wolves are very intelligent and can even be domesticated. They are smarter, so pretty much can be equated with more skill. Wolverine's are just ferocious more all around.

There no prove of that if any thing the wolverines would be smarter there knows for stealing food from traps with out getting anil by the trap. It not really debatable who the superior fighter is. The wolfs uses tactical fighting while with the pack to take out enemies such as bears. wolverine have killed bear in one on one combat by out fighting the bear and ripping out there throats. Wolverine fighting skills are one of the highest in the animal kindom and well over wolfs how ever wolfs have a size advantage and speed.

I have an idea. Why don't we go get a wolverine and test his intellect? That way we'll now the difference.
No. That's stupid.
It's a well known fact that wolverines have exceptionally poor typing skills. No. This will never work.

It quite easy to prove an animal is more intelegent then another animal. like take white rates for instantances are the smartest of all rats that is why they are used in labs. I am going to major in zoology

No proof? What about their facial expressions, social structure, battle tactics, rituals... facial exp. mean nothing. social structure show that they have a family structure how ever that does not mean there more intelegent then wolverine which also run in packs some times. There more tactical while in groups how ever in one on one combat they do not fare well against bears and such while wolverine tend to fare quite well. Also wolverine will scare a whole wolf pack out of there kill by simply acting crazy and trickign the wolf pack intop thinkthing they can not win. also wolverines are known for stealing food from traps

No Wolves are definitely much smarter, they have an established social heiarchy and can even be domesticated. They run their hunts in such a manner that each Wolf plays a certain role so they won't tire out. Social Heiarchy DOES say something about intelligence in mammals, because it shows that they know that numbers matter and they assign roles. They lose against bears because they are large enough to get hit but not strong enough, a wolverine fights off bears because it is small enough to avoid getting hit, otherwise it'd be dead. It's no different than parasites really.

I'm sure it has happened, but it wouldn't in optimal conditions.
