www.gamefaqs.com/boards/895976-street-fighter-v/72472973I see a lot of people talking about this in various discussions about a *video game character* and how it's disrespectful to have a middle eastern character revealed on 9/11. Personally I think this is silly and we can't expect the world to bow down because of an event that happened in New York almost 15 years ago. New York is not the center of the universe and I think the location is the main reason it draws so much attention. Let people say their condolences or whatever and move on, but I don't think making this huge deal out of it is even great for the people who were involved anyways. Many people will cash in on it though. Boston Bombing, Hurricane Katrina, etc. These don't get anywhere NEAR this amount of coverage. What about the Oklahoma bombing? What about the school shootings? Complete silence. What are your thoughts?

A lot of people tend to view 9/11 as the recent "Pearl Harbor", even with all of the other disasters in mind. As bad as 9/11 was, it is important to realize that the United States are not the center of the universe, no matter how hard the country tries to make it so. Showing support for the country is a good thing. But, overexposure and ulterior motives to tend to corrupt that concept. Discretion and reasoning mean a lot to one such as I...

Nothing wrong with people feeling bad about a disaster, but the Pentagon was hit and nobody talks about that either. It seems like most want to play the "woe is me" card and use it as an excuse to get offended and fit in more than anything. Many victims of lost family members complain about the overexposure. So you have to ask yourself "what is the purpose of all of this"? Seems like propaganda and bandwagon jumping to me.
