Disclaimer: This is probably my first game review ever and since I'm not a professional writer. Expect some grammatical errors and what not. This isn't going to be a long review because I'm too lazy for those and would rather do something more short and concise. I'm going to focus on three categories for my reviews: Story, Gameplay and Presentation. Also, this review is spoiler free. So, you don't have to worry about me ruining the game for ya. Anyway, I hope you enjoy.
This game cameout around 2011 I think? I only got my hands on it around 2013 IIRC, but was semi-interested for a while. This is my first LOZ game in a looooong time. I took a prolonged break from gaming due to somethings happening in my life, But, what am I saying! You guys came here for the game not for me to rant. So, let's get this show on the road.
Story: Overall, the story is your standard fanfare: Kingdom is in danger, Zelda needs help, link saves the day, blah blah. I dunno if people still play Zelda games for it's deep stories or maybe I'm just a cynic. But, the story wasn't really that great in regards to the Zelda mythology. But, then again this game is an] origin-story for the Legend of Zelda. I think it was more of a Soft reboot, because in my opinion Nintendo is trying to move on from the Gamecube era when things weren't so good. So, from that perspective it makes sense. Anyway, I don't think there's much to say about the story. It doesn't do anything to different from the typical Zelda game. I guess the characters are awesome. Especially, Groose! Man, Groose is the best Character in the game period. He needs his own game imo. The Legend of Groose!
Gameplay: This is the first Wii game and I think the only game that uses Wii motion plus. All the Wii-motes I have come with Wii-motion plus minus the non-Nintendo ones. I heard the game plays is bad without it. Anyway, the game claims to support 1:1 motion via the Wii-mote to links sword. This is the newest thing for this game and it's ... Well, it's kinda rough. Alot of times the Wii-mote can be unresponsive. But, overall it's playable but requires patience.
The enemies all require specific movements with your sword to take down. No more random flailing because the game punishes you for not attacking the way it wants to which is good.
In progress...
