VALIANT ANNOUNCES NEW FAITH COMIC
Share. Coming in January.
BY MATT PORTER Valiant Entertainment has announced that it will be releasing a four part comic book miniseries entitled Faith, featuring Faith Herbert as the superhero Zephyr.
According to CBR, Faith will be written by Jody Houser with art from Francis Portela, and special illustrations from Marguerite Sauvage.

Valiant describes Faith Herbert as a "psionically gifted psiot" who is discovered by the Harbinger Foundation. "When she's not typing up listicles about cat videos, Faith makes a secret transformation to patrol the night as the City of Angels' own leading superhero - the sky-soaring Zephyr!"
"I think comic fans always enjoy seeing a fellow geek stepping into the role of the hero," said Jody Houser in an interview with CBR, "but beyond that, Faith's confidence and optimism is something that makes her stand out to me. She's a plus-size woman who loves sci-fi and fantasy and enjoys sex, and is 100% comfortable with that. She has a very clear idea of what a hero should be, and is perfectly fine stepping away from people whose actions run counter to that."

Faith #1 is scheduled for release in January 2016.
Earlier this year Valiant Entertainment announced two new comics, and also agreed a deal to turn its properties into movies and television.
