If you had a choice in a discussion/debate, would you rather do it with a legitimately stupid person (who was slow at understanding things) or a person who's not stupid but just biased and/or belligerent.
I have to say... after years of doing this I'd rather work with a slow person who was trying to understand rather than a person who should know better but just skews facts so they can have a point. It's like arguing religion and I've about had enough.

I dslike arguing people who have an ae to grind period. I get tht people have biases, but pushing them on people is annoying. Well we all have preferences, but when people fail to use logic it's annoying. I had a discussion with a guy in the censorship thread who clearly ignored the factual definition in order to make his own definition to deny that it's censorship. I know a DBZ fanboy who blanketly hates DC because they're "overpowered" yet Superman isn't the most powerful character and has exploitable weaknesses while their teammates are still useful. DBZ has Goku and maybe one other useful character with pointless power scaling. Not to mention DC's animated films are fantastic. WAY better than the same old thing with new hair colors. |
