A few months ago a new Vampirella was revealed. I've never really been into Vampirella but she's always looked really cool and I think everyone can agree with me that her look has become more than just something sexy. Original Badass Look New Crappy Look She looks like Anita Sarkeesian... Although we all know that this redesign probably isn't enough to change someone's view on women like Anita Sarkeesian. This is disgusting how people who have no interest or real stake in our entertainment have completely taken it over and dictated what others should enjoy. This is the problem with censorship, you have a 3rd party deciding what is appropriate for OTHER people. When you bring this up people act like you're a conspiracy theorist and even use those exact words. Female characters become less sexy, characters are changed into special interest group characters for "diversity" which is stupid, and even the comic stories have gotten more politically correct and culturally Marxist. This is a BIG problem and will only get worse unless we stand up and start to vote with our wallets as well. Men don't go to female dominated entertainment and try to censor that. It's absurd. I might be wrong on that but I can remember reading about it somewhere so it makes sense more characters will pop up trying to appeal to the dominate market. However as far as I know Vampirella, Red Sonja and Deja Thoris have all had cult followings, a very, I guess small but dedicated fanbase. In order to chase this new market they have literally just said "All you fans that have possibly read our comics for decades? Yeah you aren't important to us anymore." Also with the Street Fighter V censorship one writer who complained about the female characters said she has the game preordered so Capcom should listen to her, that's like me buying a ticket to Magic Mike and saying "I like this franchise but in Magic Mike 3 all the men need to wear shirts and go fight pirates." and then the producers listen to me. They listen to 1% of the fanbase. Comics that have had mainly male fans have suffered from this because of those very small percentages complaining. A few months ago Captain Marvel sales were going down so they started drawing Captain Marvel sexier to try and attract more male readers. They didn't go super sexy or anything, she was just a little skinnier and curvier. But the female fans complained, I'm sure some weren't SJW's and were just glad to have a different type of female character and were annoyed that she was changing to a more classic comic book look but If you don't buy the book don't complain. I don't complain when the Marvel Movies manage to find an excuse to get Chris Hemsworth shirtless, please don't complain if a female character shows off a little too much cleavage. I've read those studies and it's like the one that says females account for 50% or so of gamers. Those studies are completely bunk because they dismiss several factors, namely that women don't buy the mainstream games that men buy and playing a game on facebook or your phone isn't the same as they aren't the same market. Many females LIKE certain comic book characters, but they themselves don't buy any comics. Most females don't, but comic culture is more popular than ever. Keep in mind I said culture. The movies are selling big time, tv shows are coming out, they're big for the mainstream, but the comic books that are read by men have actually been declining. Females are into more mainstream pop culture consumption and the movies reflect that. The comics are more of a niche market that targets men, and they've tried and failed to get women into comics numerous times. Women liking something on their Facebook page isn't the same. Don't let SJW's throw around bad numbers like that without looking at context first. Exactly, men don't control all of the things catered to women. What about shopping malls? 50 stores and only an electronics store for men? When you say Captain Marvel, do you mean the DC character, or are you talking about Ms. Marvel?

What about shopping malls? 50 stores and only an electronics store for men? When you say Captain Marvel, do you mean the DC character, or are you talking about Ms. Marvel? I forgot DC used to have someone called Captain Marvel, I'm talking about the new Captain Marvel character, the one who used to be MS Marvel/Carol Danvers. The only reason I believed the statistics on Comic Book readers is because I thought "How do you fake that?" With video games they intentionally include Phone and Facebook games to make the split look 50/50 when really it's probably 80/20 especially on console. On PC it might be 90/10 unless you're talking about MMO's where certain ones are almost 50/50. Also why do games like Final Fantasy with lots of sexy women have a massive female fanbase? You have women dressing up as Cindy from FFXV lots of of the female FF fans think she looks awesome. They love Tifa, Yuna even X-2 Yuna and so on. All of a sudden Cindy in FFXV is incredibly sexist and misogynistic. What? Let the fans be fans. Because I like to play devils advocate the new Batgirl, Ms. Marvel and Harley Quinn all have over 60% female readers. The new Thor started off strong but sales have been declining since the first issue. I don't know what the other's are like in sales other than Harley Quinn has stayed strong. I do know DC had some emails leak (or some people leaked information) where they were telling writers and artists to stop "Batgirling" because apparently they tried to "Batgirl" some other books and their fanbase dropped off almost immediately. I think there's a place for women and men in comics like there's a place for women and men in everything but people have to accept that some men like things that women don't like and some women like things that men don't like. That means sometimes you get a book or product if we want to widen this to all media that brings in a more equal split between Men and Women or you get stuff that attracts mainly Men like Dredd or Street Fighter or stuff that mainly attracts women like Magic Mike (I think the sequel had like 90% female audience or something like that, those poor 10% of boyfriends lol) or Gone Home. Not everything has to be inclusive. As soon as you try and target a wider audience stuff starts getting watered down. The From Dusk Till Dawn TV Series (I love it) has a majority female fanbase, I guess because of the sexy men, but guess what? They love the female characters and those female characters are incredibly sexy. So sometimes you have odd ones out like From Dusk Till Dawn but that shows that women aren't all these SJW's and I believe a lot of these women exist in Comics and Video Games but are afraid to talk out because SJW's will call them a "gender traitor" or claim they are full of "internal misogyny" and their own thoughts have been put there by men. I have no idea if what I've written makes sense but I'm gambling and hitting "create post"! Yea only in very specified types of games or comics do women jump in full speed. Women tend to like a certain visual style and they often like games that are more social and aren't as difficult. I never had any problem with people enjoying stuff, nowadays people have a sense of entitlement that we should cater to their demands even if they don't consume the product. It's infuriating. People don't have to agree with you just like you don't have to agree with them. People need to get over themselves.
