Full Spoilers in this Review, so don't watch if you haven't played the game or watch it and get spoiled in your earholes. It's a long one and I need to figure out how to get it shorter. Any tips on how to improve will be greatly appreciated. I tend to like thorough reviews but you could take away time on some of the "smaller" aspects and focus on the larger ones. Many people are saying the game series is starting to feel more like other FPS games and less about raiding Tombs. What do you think about that?

I tend to like thorough reviews but you could take away time on some of the "smaller" aspects and focus on the larger ones. Many people are saying the game series is starting to feel more like other FPS games and less about raiding Tombs. What do you think about that? Rise actually changes it slightly, more tombs and more adventure. Focus on stealth over action. Still lots of action but more combat is skippable if you're sneaky enough. I didn't really mention this in the video other than Rise does Tomb Raider better than the reboot by adding more tombs with a focus on exploration. I shoulda gone into more detail on this especially considering I had a discussion with someone on YouTube about this a few days ago, just sorta forgot about it, damn. It wouldn't hurt to do that. So you definitely think this game is better than the reboot? I'm sad to hear about the input lag part. Hate unresponsive controls.

So you like Rise because of the gameplay *and* the story over the reboot?
That complaint often happens with games that can have gameplay and story segregation. It's probably different for old school Tomb Raider fans to see Lara killing in a more brutal way than she did in the very first game on camera. I realize this is more frequent in modern games so I've adapted to it.

I realize this is more frequent in modern games so I've adapted to it. Yeah Rise is better in every way. In Tomb Raider Underworld nobody cared that Lara killed people because the game wasn't trying to be realistic. That game has Lara use Mjolnir, Thor's hammer, to fight an Atlantean Queen that wants to destroy the world. It's awesome, when Lara storms Amanda's boat killing everyone you don't question it. In the new games the dark/realistic tone makes people question it, I questioned it in the reboot because she goes from traumatised girl to brutal killer in a matter of minutes. Rise doesn't have that problem because Lara is more confident and only questions her killing of people once, some still have that problem and I understand why but I think many are giving it a hard time. In the old games Lara was something of a superhero. Super attractive and able to do super feats. They toned her down some, but I think "realism" often has one than more meaning to people. You could argue her personality isn't "realistic" for a girl her age, which might be what they're saying.

Lara does save the world in this, she stops an evil organisation and mad man from getting hold of an item that make people immortal. It's not quite Norse Mythology and Battles with ancient queens super heroic, but it's there and it ends with Lara going to stop Trinity. She's escalating into that territory but she isn't at her original levels yet. I still love the sexy and badass Lara from back in the day. I liked the Anniversary version of Tomb Raider since they fixed the controls a bit and made them tighter.
