www.rt.com/news/323264-turkish-f16-fighter-shot-Su24/"The Russian Su-24 military jet was shot down by a Turkish F-16 over Syrian territory while returning to Khmeimim airbase, the Russian Defense Ministry has confirmed. The Ministry's Twitter says that “analysis of the objective monitoring data” showed the downed SU-24 jet did not violate Turkish air space. The SU-24 tactical bomber jet was downed on Tuesday morning after being hit by an air-to-air missile fired from a Turkish F-16 fighter jet. Both pilots managed to eject, but were reportedly shot while parachuting by rebels from the ground. Video footage released by the rebels shortly afterwards shows the dead body of a Russian pilot being inspected by armed men. A Russian air rescue team from Latakia airbase is still airborne searching for the other pilot."This might start up WW3. Turkey depends on russian gas for the harsh winters so if/when putin shuts them down it gonna get real ugly. Not to mention a military retaliation is probable too.

What has made this situation worse is that the russian rescue chopper was shot down by "moderate fsa rebels" with an Usa supplied and made tow missle. None of that crew died and was rescued by the Syrian army. Russia is gonna shut down turkey economically. Turkey depends on gas from the russians for the harsh winters not to mention russian's are a large percentage of the tourists in turkey. Turkey is the 2nd most buyer of Russian oil with Germany being the 1st.

Russia has already stopped all travel to turkey so im not sure when Putin are going to shut off the oil flow. Im assuming Putin would want to evacuate Russian citizens first before they shut off the oil.Putin already made some moves positioning a missile carrier in the Mediterranean to protect russian aircraft plus all bombing runs will be accompanied by fighter jets. Putin might present to Assad to allow a Russian run no fly zone over syria kicking the nato countries out.
