Thoughts? I think it looks awesome, Not sure I like Black Panther's outfit but I need to see it in the movie before I make final judgement on that and it's only a first trailer which means CGI isn't finished as evident by Iron Man's first appearance clearly being a plastic/fibreglass outfit not enhanced by CGI like it usually is. I liked the tone but Marvel Movie trailers tend to make everything look darker than it actually is, lets hope Civil War the story that needs to be dark stays dark like this trailer suggests. EDIT The "So was I" at the end of the trailer is heartbreaking, this story needs to tear us apart let's hope the movie lives up to that ending quote. Looks solid so far. No complaints here.

Better than the story arc in the comics that's for sure.

Better than the story arc in the comics that's for sure. Yea that got a bit crazy with the whole Skrull thing and it took some leaps in certain areas. Seems like Tony has gone down the dark path again. That said this story is more appropriate now considering what's going on in the US.

The trailer seems to suggest that Tony is the antagonist but not the villain. If Cap wasn't fighting for something that makes sense I would be rooting for Tony because he really broke my heart with that "So was I" Robert Downey Jr nailed that line perfectly. In the comics he definitely was. Just like out of control governments he wants something "good" but goes through extreme measures to get it.

In the comics he definitely was. Just like out of control governments he wants something "good" but goes through extreme measures to get it. I'm glad they aren't following the Civil War comics. I don't want them to ruin the Iron Man character like the comics did, although Iron Man had his best comics run ever in my opinion because they needed to fix his character and they didn't just fix it, they made him my favourite comic book character again, until I got into DareDevil and was just wowed by some of the amazing DareDevil stuff in the 90s and early 00s. I was thinking, at the end of the Civil War trailer the way Cap wasn't holding back, and him and Bucky were just wailing on Iron Man... I'm glad it's a serious fight but that was harder to watch than what I thought it would be. I don't want to see them fight like this but the emotions will make for a better movie. Cap is my favourite Marvel Movie character so seeing him wail on Iron Man had me like "calm down you're gonna hurt him!" DareDevil is my favourite MCU character though and Kingpin is my favourite MCU villain, that show rocked. Let's hope we get a little DD cameo in Civil War. Hold on, to clarify. What run of Iron Man was your favorite?

Hold on, to clarify. What run of Iron Man was your favorite? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Invincible_Iron_ManIt's awesome. Ends weak, but everything else is awesome. EDIT It starts with Stark as director of S.H.I.E.L.D. and it has Norman Osbourne trying to take the super human identity list (forgot what it's called) and Tony destroys it but puts it in his head so now he's on the run and everybody hates him. So good. The Osborn rampage. That was good. Did you ever read the classic stuff?

The Osborn rampage. That was good. Did you ever read the classic stuff? Classic as in 60s? Then only Fantastic Four and Silver Surfer because that's what my dad loved. Other stuff the furthest I've gone back is Wolverine to the Claremont stuff. Then Batman 80s and 90s stuff Frank Miller and such, DareDevil Frank Miller. That's really all the classic stuff I've read. I liked the style back then, many love stories but much lighter on the PC stuff.

I liked the style back then, many love stories but much lighter on the PC stuff. Too much PC stuff happening in comics today, Wonder Woman is marrying lesbians? Wonder Woman would never do that. She doesn't have the time to spend several hours doing that, she needs to save the world, fight bad guys, kill aries. I read it as she married a lesbian herself. You have characters randomly coming out as gay and they made Wally West (one of my favorite characters) black. This PC stuff is obnoxious and games are next.
