I haven't started to learn any language and I would love to move to Japan. Do you have any tips on learning the language? I know from what I've read about Japanese it's not that hard to learn to speak at a basic level. Have you started studying at all yet?

I haven't started to learn any language and I would love to move to Japan. Do you have any tips on learning the language? I know from what I've read about Japanese it's not that hard to learn to speak at a basic level. Have you started studying at all yet? They have people learning this stuff online for free nowadays. You could try and see if it helps while supplementing it in other areas.

That's how I started, but for the more advance stuff you might need some help. But, you can learn enough on your own to survive and make descent conversation.

Yeah, I started with kana and crammed kanji. I took a class as well whixh was good. That's all I need to hear. I might start on it now. Getting the basics would help immensely.

Yeah, I wonder sometimes if just going to Japan is the best way to learn. I took french in high school (it's left my brain now) and I was failing at it but when I went to France for a week, my French skill improved immensely and just that one week put me ahead of everyone in the class. You can start and get ahead of the curve. Then you'll be more prepared when you get there. It won't cost anything either.
