They have people learning this stuff online for free nowadays. You could try and see if it helps while supplementing it in other areas.

But, you can learn enough on your own to survive and make descent conversation.

That's all I need to hear. I might start on it now. Getting the basics would help immensely.

You can start and get ahead of the curve. Then you'll be more prepared when you get there. It won't cost anything either.
