Thought I should post this here: "Should've just bought a PC. You'd have the same thing. The "power to choose when to upgrade" has been with PC since, oh I don't know, the 80s.
Seriously though, every single game these days barring hardware exclusives (read: Sony and Nintendo first party titles) comes to PC. If you're going to have to start upgrading your systems every three to four years, you may as well build a moderate gaming PC for the same price as one of these weaker boxes, and then bask in all of sales that come to PC. Steam, Origin, Amazon, etc.
The only titles at this years E3 that aren't coming to PC are all of the PS4 first party titles and the new Zelda. For crying out loud, even Halo 6 is coming to PC, the last bastion of Xbox exclusivity.
Join the PC revolution today. Your wallet, your hands, and your heart will thank you later. "Got it from this article about console updates increasing in frequency: www.ign.com/articles/2016/06/27/microsoft-nintendo-gta-publisher-weigh-in-on-new-consoles?watch

Consoles are already outdated and now they have some new versions coming out? Console players are held hostage and can't even see it.
