How to spot an 09er

Just a little pet peeve, but when people call a Super an "Ultra". It raises read flags for me. Any others?

1. People who think you need comeback mechanics to have a "fair" fight.

2. People who say that execution shouldn't matter because it should be all about "mind games".

3. People who act like dumbing a game down is good because of "da fundamentals".

4. People who say "It's all about the gameplay.".

5. People who want to nerf everything they can't beat.

You said yourself Street Fighter IV had a more stylised art style, that's evident with the hand and feet sizes and Chun Li-s legs, Street Fighter V has that same art style but at the same time it's slightly more toned down which makes F.A.N.G who was way too wacky for SF4 way way too wacky for SFV. His whole design looks like it was to try and create some sort of viral internet meme.

It's a sad world when we have to look at F.A.N.G and not the R. Mika Butt Slap.

I find him goofy too but when they have characters like Rufus, Hakan, Blanka, and the 3s cast I know they can't resist throwing one in so I just ignore it.

Rufus is kinda weird but my brain can make sense of him, Hakan and Blanka just feel like Street Fighter characters to me. 3 has a few weird ones but again they feel like Street Fighter.

How to spot an 09er? They start using whatever character wins EVO.

Bandwagon jumping is a neverending trait of the typical person. Most don't think for themselves.

Rufus, Dhalsim, Blanka, Hakan, Fuerte. There have been lot of clownish or weird characters in SF. What about all of the oddball 3s characters? SF5 didn't go that far.

I'm not sure what "feels like SF" means anymore outside of the stereotype design they're famous for.

More odd than Blanka? Q, Twelve? Did you see Street Fighter 3s? I don't "like" him. Just saying Capcom makes oddball characters.

Seth was weird but I don't think your problem are his looks, but more of his behavior. He seems.... flamboyant.

Hopefully he's not as annoying as Blanka gameplay wise. Dhalsim and Necro were stretchy though.
