I recall some Chinese guy showing this to me when I had gym, he was resentful and wanted to one up me (which is why I work out alone). He said "You Americans believe in God, why not this?"
Much of this stuff is like a fairy tale TBH.

Oh I'm all for pushing my physical limits. I can do one handed finger pushups and everything and I've always liked unorthodox things. I still like to be grounded in reality. I think many things are just physics but have mysticized over the years for entertainment value or to sell to others. Kind of like a combat "religion" so to speak. The monks were trained by soliders in the past which is where they learned much of their stuff.
