Who knew farting could be so dangerous? www.nydailynews.com/news/national/florida-woman-assaults-husband-farting-bed-article-1.2474111A Florida woman smelt it and then dealt her husband a beating after he repeatedly passed gas in bed.
Dawn Meikle, 55, is facing misdemeanor battery charges after she elbowed, scratched and kicked her husband, Donald Meikle, on Dec. 11 inside their Port St. Lucie, Fla., home, according to Florida cops.
Meikle elbowed her husband after he farted in bed in the middle of the night and eventually kicked him out, a police report said.
When he returned to bed and continued to cut the cheese, Meikle furiously kicked and scratched her husband, the Off the Beat blog reported.
“Dawn stated she asked Donald several times to stop passing gas in their bed,” cops said in the police report.
Donald Meikle suffered 6- to 5-inch scratches on his chest and his T-shirt was ripped in three places from the altercation. Donald Meikle was restraining his outraged wife, and her lip got split open in the process, cops said.
“He did not punch me. He was restraining me and somehow my lip got split open,” Dawn told cops when they responded.

www.nydailynews.com/news/national/pork-company-fires-400-pound-man-farting-suit-article-1.2383377Getting fired stinks — especially if it's because you fart too much.
A Pennsylvania man claims a pork company fired him for letting it rip so many times at work that the stench started masking the smell of their popular hickory-smoked ham, he told the Daily News.
“I think it’s disgusting. This is all very embarrassing,” said Richard Clem, a former comptroller for Case Pork Roll Company, which is based in Trenton, N.J. “The fact is that I was a loyal and trusted employee for 10 years.”
The 70-year-old said he couldn't help his flatulence after he underwent gastric bypass surgery in 2010 and his symptoms of “extreme gas and uncontrollable diarrhea” worsened in 2013.
“It was very dangerous. More than once, I’m arriving for work and I’m up the steps and into the bathroom right away,” he said. “You don’t hold it in. You don’t do it. You’re not going to make it. I always kept a change of clothes at work just in case.”
The 420-pound man suffered from obesity and had the operation to save his life.

But his gas "constantly" prompted complaints from his boss, his wife Louann Clem alleged in a federal discrimination lawsuit she filed against the company.
"We have to do something about Rich. This can't go on," said the company's president, Thomas Dolan, according to the lawsuit.
"We cannot run an office and have visitors with the odor in the office,” Dolan allegedly said. “Tell Rich that we are getting complaints from visitors who have problems with the odors."
Clem was forced to work from home at least once. He was fired from his job as a comptroller on Feb. 28, 2014.
His wife, who worked part-time as his administrative assistant, quit the same day because of the "harassment and discrimination her husband faced," she said in the suit filed last month.

“We just opened a window if we wanted to. We used to burn candles all the time,” he said.
Case Pork Roll Company did not immediately return a request for comment.
Clem said he was shocked when he was given the pink slip after a decade of dedicated service.
He has dropped down to 300 pounds and controls his gas through medication, but he now fears all the attention will keep him from finding another job.
“I feel better, but there goes my reputation,” he said. “Who wants to hire a fart boy?”
