I thought I already posted a very easy to use mod. Seems like a simpler option. Neither are hard but you need to go to your folder.

Didnt see the last post for some reason but anyway just make a copy of the folder where the files are that are going to be replaced by the mod.

Thought I'd post here so people could use this as a reference in the future. So my Hitbox controller has been dropping inputs for SFV intermittently on the right button. I swapped out USB cables, put in new buttons, etc. Still had intermittent drops on my controllers. One more so than others. There are updates available for the firmware but since I never had problems before I didn't bother installing it. WarMachineRhodey suggested it so I looked into it. The firmware is here: akishop-customs.com/PS360.htmlThe latest version is 1.66. I downloaded it and now I have these hex files and it says it uses a usb bootloader. I haven't done this before and while I'm used to troubleshooting I wasn't able to get any thing going as they are hex files and there's no other program. I was trying to go to device manager under PS360 and under Xbox mode and it says it's up to date for both. This is where I'm at right now.

I read through the pdf that was included with the update instructions and i think that program it suggested ( Atmel’s free FLIP) has a bootloader in it.

I downloaded that file but didn't read that portion. I was reading all the hardware related stuff. Just goes to show you how it's always the simple things. Anyways I updated it so I'll report on the results. I need to do my other controller though.

I only update my drivers once in a great while or when I find it necessary which isn't very often.
If it ain't broke don't fix it is what I always say. I've updated drivers in the past and have had all kinds of issues when I do it asap so I just wait.
Thanks for the tip though.

Yeah, I only update when necessary. Never fresh out the door because these things tend to have tinks that haven't been worked out yet.

Exactly. This goes double for OS'es. It's why I don't bother with new ones until I know it's solid and the software and hardware has been made more compatible with it. Otherwise you have all kinds of headaches trying to find workarounds all of the time. Very annoying.

You mean you like installing new OS'es and updates just to test them out?

Windows 10 is starting to look like a mistake. So many Video TDR errors. Most likely a Driver issue with Nvidia.

Download Display Driver uninstaller and either roll back to a stable driver or just reinstall the current one. The good news is that driver issues are easy to fix by just undoing them. I installed the latest Nvidia driver and I can play Sf5 on my laptop. The bad news is that tethering seems to dramatically slow down the fps in some games to the point of being unplayable. I read there was a network adapter update for Windows but I have to hunt that down. If someone else sees one for Android, let me know.

Is tethering using more resources on your laptop more than usual? That is a really odd issue.

Is tethering using more resources on your laptop more than usual? That is a really odd issue. I haven't had a high usage and in fact it uses up almost none. Apparently this has happened to other people too, I know Borderlands 2 was a major culprit of lag because of internet. I think it has to do with the way it communicates with Steam or something similar. I got 140 fps in USF4 with tethering off, and when I had it on I had to use minimum settings to get 55 fps. I can play Sf5 with no issue maxed out but when I tether it drops to 2 fps or so even in the menu navigation and loading screen which is insane.

Yea best to undo that driver. Most blue screens tend to be caused by driver problems.

I do like that it pointed out the difference with V-sync in game and through Nvidia and other options.

I do like that it pointed out the difference with V-sync in game and through Nvidia and other options. I made profiles with the maximum pre rendered setting at 1 for all the fighting games i have on my pc. I read a long time ago about the shump fans doing the same thing on pc adjusting the maximum pre rendered frames or flip queue size to its lowest value to minimize input lag while using v-sync.

I do that along with triple buffering and my performance has never been a problem.
