I have thought about this occasioanlly. What are the ups and downs of arguing online vs voice?
I think that voice is better for morons and online is better for the more intelligent people.
Your thoughts?

By voice do you mean face to face? Voice, phone, etc. There's definitely a difference when a person has time to sit and type vs the instant style you get verbally.

I tend to shy away from debates, because it is usually just a waste of time. And I have only so many hours in the day. I don't mind having a conversation with someone, but usually they speak from ignorance.
Take this new kid. He is about 27 years old. He spent most of Tuesday complaining about his back, and how it's been hurting. He asked what I did when my back hurts. I told him that mine has been hurting lately, but I try to keep it stretched out. If I wake up and it's too intense, I will take some Aleve to help.
So we go on and then I make the comment about how I wish I could get my body back from when I was 19 or 20 so I didn't have to deal with the pain for so long.
Mistake.
Then he said that I am wrong and starts in with how he is in the best shape of his life. He was in good shape in school, but not in this good of shape.
I tried to explain that his recovery time at 18-20 would still be better. But nope I was wrong.
So I didn't really push it, he can think what he wants. If his back hurts now, maybe he was in a brace at school?

If his back hurts now, maybe he was in a brace at school? Yea lol. Most people are far too emotional, biased, or dumb, so you end up just repeating yourself and people just think what they're going to think. As you know I used to do a ton of it back in the day but now it becomes tiring. That's why I had this site here to keep away from the dummies as much as possible. There are things you can do to help your recovery time diet wise and I know certain foods are inflammatory as I've had joint pain for a few years that I am getting over by changing my diet. Check that out. Anyways when I argue with a person in person it can be emotionally charged at times but it's really quick. I can come up with things quickly and often change their minds easier when they're dumb. I've had some I knew in real life her and it's different online. When you have time to sit and think and make posts I think it's great for smarter people because you can put thought into what you say. Idiots on the other hand just drag the discussion on and on. It could days or even weeks for some of this stuff to end. If it's a versus debate it can go on for years. Never in person though. 5 minutes of time wasted is better than countless hours with any moron lol.
