I've always had trouble on determining power sets in SF to comic book transfers. I find that Zangief with his current abilities wouldn't last long in Marvel unless you give him a strength boost.
So how does one balance the two?
Do some SF characters get powers or not?

It's best to go by the average of them all, which still leaves the characters quite powerful. Actual Canon is in the games with the story being in current third strike as the latest. The in-game powers aren't as good but they're quite powerful.

I used to think that SF characters wouldn't convert over well, but they'd be awesome to a degree. (for the more powerful characters, you'd need darkstalkers, as top tier DS characters are like Galactus level.)
