Carnage - Carange fairs better that Venom does. Taskmaster - I think Wolvie takes the majority here. Elecktra - I think Wolvie takes the majority here. Daredevil - I think Wolvie takes the majority here. Dock Ock - Wolvie wins against most forms of Ock. Wolvie loses against Adamantium arm Ock though. Sandman - Sandman if he was smarter would be damn near impossible to beat, but as he is written Wolvie would win. I don't see him beating A.I Ock. Carnage and Venom should obliterate him. I don't see how he would hurt Sandman or Hydroman in a straight up fight. How would he get the majority against OR and Cyke? Well lets start with Cyke. What would be the parameters for a fair fight between the two? |

Well lets start with Cyke. What would be the parameters for a fair fight between the two? Hmmm, about 60 ft apart, nothing else... say a basic setting that is believable, but with a few places to move. This is a tough match to make "fair". Wolverine has faster reflexes than Cyke, so if the two started the fight standing face to face- Wolverine wins easily. Wolverine can raise his hands and extend his claws quicker than Cyke can raise his arm to his visor It would be like an old western, Wolverine would win the draw. Cyke has the major distance advantage. So to start the fight off with Wolverine being any sort of distance away handicaps him. Cyke can just open his visor with a full beam shot at Wolvie, giving Wolvie no chance to get close. Now, to make this fair we need to take both battles into account. Run say 20 fights. 10 with them standing face to face, and 10 with Wolverine at 60 ft. away. Wolverine wins all 10 at close range, and should win atleast 1-2 at 60 ft., thus giving him the majority. |

Fights are never right in your face... though, and Cyke has shown himself able to defend against Wolverine in h2h for awhile, and he has taken on him and several other xmen. Wolverine does have to bring the fight to Cyclops to win, that I agree with. Which storyline are you referring to that Cyke has taken on Wolverine and several other X-men? |

I know he has taken on several in the very first issue. I lost a damned good bit of my comics, but he has done it several times in the danger room. I think without the need for the ol' visor, he shouldn't have a problem with him.

The only instance I can think of when Cyclops "defeated" the other X-men was in Uncanny #175. The X-men are tricked into thinking that Cyclops is Dark Phoenix, and Cyclops leads them into the Danger Room. Cyclops received a few broken ribs early in the battle from Colossus. I will admit that Cyclops is a smart fighter.
His only interaction with Wolverine was Cyclops hitting Wolverine with a few optic blasts. The first was intended for Nightcrawler, but Nightcrawler teleported at the last intant leaving Wolverine in the midst of the blast. The second was Cyclops hitting Wolverine in the head with a blast, from behind though.
Issue number 1 of which series?
While I do admit that Cyclops is a smart fighter, and can defeat Wolverine from a distance. I dont see Cyke winning the majority of random battles.
And as far as the visor goes, all I have found is that he moved the controls down to his hand. This helps quicken his reaction time a bit, but it is still not instantaneous. If he is controlling his eyebeams by mere thought now, an issue number would be appreciated.
