They're agenda driven, they pick and choose series to support. You should see how they shilled for the new Ghost-busters.

There own site repeatedly gives Sonic games high scores. Including the old ones, that's what makes the whole thing so dumb.

I think that has more to do with review companies giving high score to any big game regardless of quality.

I mean SFV got 8/10-10/10 scores at all the major reviewers because it was SF. The game was half finished.

Im not surprised since they have people on their staff that didnt know PCs could record gameplay footage using software. I cant believe people are paying these idiots for their opinions on games and the gaming industry. Says sonic was never good but gives every Call of duty game "8/10+ ratings".

They didn't know PC could record games with software? I don't know why they are even paid to do this. I guess it's because of their "personality". It made sense when they were recruiting hot chicks who didn't know what they were talking about, but this is stupid.

These companies are just walking advertisers at this point. If a company gives too many bad reviews, they lose access to a lot of games which has something to do with it.

They don't know alot of things. For example one of the guys said "Green Hill Zone in Sonic 2" during the video. He didn't know that Green Hill Zone is from Sonic 1 and confused it with Emerald Hill zone. This reminds me o the old thread about whether or not you should be good at a game before you review it. I never understood why reviewers get so much respect.

I remember Morgan Webb mispronouncing Sayian also in some old review. People always did doubt whether or not she gamed.

Webb and Sessler are from the better days of gaming journalism. So, I think she might have. This is when game journalist were actually game journalist not blogs in disguise driven by agenda setting. Hell, I still watch older reviews these days:





This is back when gaming journalism was fun. These days it's all crap like Kotaku or IGN and Twitch Stream monsters and ADD fuel like Pewdiepie. What a shitty hobby, glad I AWOL'ed.

She probably played on a small device or something and didn't do the "hard" gaming you see nowadays. I must admit those were good times. I love that Aquaman review they did.
